Questions & Answers
My Toro came without any instructions. Although this is an OEM kit, the packaging directs you to the Toro website, where you can enter your snowblower's model number and view the manual (which includes instructions) online.
In most cases, the gas-to-oil ratio is 50:1. The snowblower's gas cap should have it printed on it.
It should work if the blades are 21 inches in length.
All hardware is included, as well as two paddles. Replacement parts of excellent quality. It is not an easy task. It's critical to have the right tools for working in tight spaces.

You may need to do this if yours does not throw snow 10 feet, clogs easily, shoots snow beneath your feet, or does not get down to the pavement well. New fasteners are included in this package. br>br>The scraper is simple to use. Pay attention to the instructions. The job is made easier with a cordless impact driver. The paddles are fairly easy to install. br>br> Follow the instructions and make sure the collars are inserted into the holes where the blade attaches to the flat plate. On the blades, there are two outside fasteners that are difficult to work with. I folded- Using a box end wrench, roll up a small piece of paper. A couple of pieces of blue tape were used to hold the paper in place (as shown in the photos). After carefully positioning the nut in the wrench, it was tightened. The screws were driven with a cordless impact driver.
The manufacturer of these replacement parts is not to blame for this. but man- man! Unless you have at least 3 or more hands, getting them installed is a real pain. and with such small hands to boot! After a while, I figured out that using small spring clamps to hold the paddles in place made it easier to thread the bolts through the paddle and impeller and start the nuts in the tight spots. Additional suggestions: To avoid gas spills when the unit is tilted, make sure it is completely dry first. Make sure you have a good 7/16 combination wrench on hand. To help push the bolts into the hard rubber, lubricate them with spray lube. Make certain you've got a 25-star bit. A 25 Star bit is the only way to effectively tighten the bolts.
My CCR2450 will love it! All it needed was some new paddles and a scraper, which I found on Craigslist for $40. Yes, there are four nuts that are a pain to get in place on the paddles, as some people claim, but all you have to do is use needle nose pliers to help you get started. From beginning to end, it probably took me 20 minutes. The blower is in excellent working condition. Check your paddles for a wear hole if the snow isn't flying like it used to. You only need new paddles 95 of the time. I could have probably reused the hardware, but if you plan to keep your blower long enough to need to replace the paddles again, it's worth it to upgrade.
Genuine OEM Toro Parts (with a possible price premium over after market options) arrived in excellent condition, thanks to this particular supplier's quick shipping. It's a little tricky to install the paddle kit, but I've done it before. It's possible that two additional holes will need to be drilled in the paddles. Also, the hardware kit included in this package does not fit my older CCR2000, so I used the old bolts, nuts, and washers. I should get 2 feet of snow, depending on the amount of snow that falls. The paddles have been out of service for three years, and the scraper bar has probably only been used once.
Paddles, scraper bar, and hardware for Toro 2450 snowblower, according to the Amazon ad's image and text. There were no nuts, bolts, or washers included in the package. All of the old hardware had to be repurposed. Second, the hardware couldn't fit through the holes in the rubber paddles because they were too small. To allow the bolt shoulders to seat properly in the paddles, I had to drill them out. This is a set that I would never order again.
It's not as bad as some of the other reviews suggest. Other reviews may appear difficult, but they can be made easier with the help of these resources. These are Toro parts that are manufactured by the manufacturer. For the past 40 years, I have worked in the outdoor power equipment industry. Toro and other brands were sold and serviced by us. The paddles and scraper must be of excellent quality and design. The majority of aftermarket parts (but not all) are inferior to OEM parts. This is one area in which you should not cut corners. The paddles that came with the vehicle are directional. Check to see if they're properly installed.
Despite the fact that I only gave it two stars for installation, it turned out to be a good experience. Everything needed for installation was included in the kit. When it comes to reinstalling the blades, some of the bolts are difficult to reach. Before deciding whether or not to take on this project, I recommend watching some installation videos on YouTube.
