Exactly the same thing. I discovered 585195 stamped on the bottom of my broken Husqvarna part. This bracket is exactly what I was looking for.
Selected User Reviews For Murray 585195MA Black Worm Bracket for Snow Throwers
I have an older Craftsman snow thrower that is still in excellent condition. The worm bracket that rotates the chute had developed "age" cracks, which was unfortunate. Because Craftsman hasn't produced this model in nearly 20 years, I didn't think I'd be able to find the exact part. However, after conducting an online search for the model number, I discovered a complete parts list, confirming that Craftsman does not handle the parts. However, I was able to find the part I needed by entering that number into Amazon. Despite the fact that the engine in my Craftsman snow thrower is a Techumseh, and the part I bought was marked as Briggs and Stratton and stated that it was made for a Murray product, it was exactly what I needed. For the next 20 years, I'm all set.
I find that it lasts about four Minnesota winters due to the stress caused by rotating the chute. I haven't been able to find anything better, and they all appear to be made by the same company.
This worm gear was purchased to replace one that came from a Craftsman snow blower that was 22 years old. Installing it was a breeze. Once installed, it's much easier to turn the chute.
My chute rotator had never run so smoothly before. Because the Husqvqrna part was "No Longer Available," I ordered two of these on the spur of the moment, and I'm glad I did. If yours looks anything like this, go ahead and get two while they're still available. However, if you are unable to make a decision, go ahead and spend. A new blower costs $800, and it's made with even less expensive parts. Even if it isn't the exact part for your machine, it is well worth the risk.
My Craftsman snow blower was simple to install. The fit is perfect.
For a Craftsman 22-inch 5-hp snowblower, it worked perfectly.
