Questions & Answers
Cross-reference a Toro part number with a Tecumseh (engine manufacturer) part number.
This one doesn't come with a Choke Knob. It was a perfect fit with my previous one. There are carb sets that include a variety of knobs if you need a new choke knob. If your Choke behaves differently, it's likely that this isn't the right carburetor for your needs.
If the photo is accurate, it appears to be the same carburetor that is currently installed on your engine, and it will fit.
I do not think it is, but I am 100% not certain. Models 38513, 38543, and 38574 are all included in my manual. Other models MAY be able to use this carburetor. I recommend doing more research or contacting Toro or a Toro Service Center directly.

I regret not installing this carburetor as soon as I received it, so I am unable to return it. It's a waste of time. The float failed to work as soon as I installed it, flooding the engine; the float is of poor quality. This item is not worth the small sum of money I paid for it. I bought a genuine factory carburetor, and it worked flawlessly right away.
Because I've spent a lot of time working on small engines, both big and small, replacing the carburetor on my snowblower took all of a half hour. My old carb had a bad float needle and seat, as well as corrosion, and it ran even worse. I followed the instructions for the initial settings. I won't be asking for a refund. I'll take a $15 hit if it means I get a better deal.
There is no fault on the part of the company/Amazon- I ordered this one without double-checking that it was the correct part; the packaging and part arrived in perfect condition; I'm sure it would have worked perfectly if it had been the part I needed. However, this was not the case. . . returning was extremely simple.
I had to make a couple of minor adjustments to the needle valve, but nothing major. It eliminates the need for carburetor rebuilding.
The engine started on the first pull with no adjustments, but I did make the necessary adjustments according to the instructions. The carburetor was a perfect fit for my engine, and it even came with a new gasket, which was a nice touch.
It worked perfectly! I would not have wasted time disassembling and cleaning my old carburetor if I had known new carburetors were this inexpensive. It took about ten minutes to take out the old one and replace it with this one. It will most likely take 30 seconds to adjust the A/F.
As a replacement, it was easily installed and fit perfectly. Why buy a carb rebuild kit at this price? It saves time and the Tecumseh starts on the first pull after installation!.
It started right up; I had to make a minor adjustment to the fuel mixture, but everything is working fine now! For the price, it's excellent.
