Questions & Answers
You do not need to connect the Anchor Pool Step Weight to your stairs. It is enough to fill the container with sand and place it inside the step's back.
The bag weighs 50 pounds.
This would not be acceptable to me. There are cracks at the bottom corners and they are not sturdy. When I used sand it was a mess, imagine using It may be possible to fill them with water and insert some kind of handle into them so that once the plastic cracks you can have a concrete block that can be moved. It is also possible to buy a cinder block, tie a rope to it, and then string or chain It is not recommended to use them in a pool as the cap does not seal completely.
This is used with steps from the "Main Access" line of products. They have a platform on which to set the anchor

The anchor holds a lot of sand, and it is a strong one. It is super strong and does suspend weight. The band is strong and can do this. It is impossible for the cap to stay on, though. This is where the flaw lies. As a result of the weight of the suspended sand, the top retention ring is deformed. A deformity like this causes the ring to cave in and the cap literally pops off the ring. Obviously, after the steps have been assembled and are anchored in place, this process occurs. After the lid has been lifted, any turbulence in the water will create enough turbulence to stir up the sand to spread it throughout Those are not good signs.
What can I use instead? I think your suggestion was a bad idea. There is no way I can handle this situation without spitting. In order to get into my daughter's swimming pool, I ordered a set of steps. A weight and a mat were all that was visible in the picture. It is in my order. As soon as they received everything, they opened it up and threw all the In the picture only one weight was shown, it would be nice if there was a way to secure the weights to the steps since even though people bought these with the steps the weights don't work. This weight is wrong for these steps, but I can't send it back without a packing label, since we need weights for these steps. It is impossible for me to use my pool steps Please do not suggest buying weights that will not work with these pool steps. Thank you.
We buy five of these each year and fill them with river rock so that we don't need to worry about the sand in the pool if one of them breaks. However, I have never had them last for more than one season. They do weigh the steps down and prevent them from moving. The handles don't appear to be strong as other people have mentioned. As far as I'm concerned, I don't use the handles at all other than to pull them from the steps at the end of the season. I haven't had any lids pull off, but I.
I've updated it The year 2019 In our case, it was just worn Does what it says, it works. Original post Does what it says, it works. They complain that sand is leaking and so forth. What I want to say is this. Make sure the lid is firmly on and tightly tightened, don't allow it to shift. The swimming pool should not be tampered with while it is in the water. My unit has been there for a while and I have never had a problem with it. It is fair to say that if you keep messing with it and spinning it around you would have a problem. It's made of plastic and it will If you're careful with it, put it in there, and let it be, you'll be fine.
There is no need for this. You can get better ideas from Lowes or Home Depot if you buy sealable buckets.
Our current pool steps included this weight, so we purchased this as an additional weight for them. We filled it with sand and sealed it tightly with a cap. It only took a few weeks of use for our pool to develop a serious algae issue. In particular, under the stairway. To investigate, I had to remove all weights and steps from the device and discovered that the cap hadn't been sealed evenly. Sand did not leak from the pool, but water had gotten in and molded due to the weight in the pool. The weight was removed, the algae was cleaned up, and the pool seems to be working.
If I could, I would give it a 0 star rating. A flaw exists in the design of the top screw. Our choice was to glue and tape it to ensure that it would not They weren't effective, as I had three of them under my steps, and they stood no chance of anchoring the steps. I wasted a lot of time, energy, and money on it. As well as filling them out, it wasn't an easy process. It might be a good idea to find a different way to anchor the steps to your pool.
Here is the screw - Although I bought these, the top does not feature much threading for attachment to these plastic jugs. I am sorry to say that I bought them. If they have a lid that stays on tight, it should be worth the price. Using these as sand weights is not a good idea. It might be better to use gravel.
