Compared to other pools, ours is not too high for adults to just go over the rim and into the water a ladder is not required. There is no guarantee that adults will be allowed to use it, although I don't see any reason not to.
In order to use this product, you must have a 30" pool model. In the manual of the product, the following safety warning is included Don't install any pool accessories on a deck or other surface at, above, or slightly below the pool's top rail.
Despite being a ladder for kids, we found it to be adequate. It was necessary to put tennis balls inside the legs of the pool to prevent damage. Steps and rods are attached by screws and bolts. The system has worked without any problems for us.
There is something to be said about the 33" inch high pool it is a bit high over the side however, at least your pool rim will not be damaged by the ladder.
