It included everything you'll need to set it up. It comes with adapters for 1. Hoses with a diameter of 25 mm and higher. I have 1. 25 hoses. br>br>All I did was screw it in place and cut a hole in the pool wall. If it's a soft-sided pool, I'd recommend having it partially filled because it will help support it during installation. I filled mine to the brim and only lost a few drips during the installation.

The product was excellent, and it included all of the items shown in the photo. I had no idea it was included in the return flight. The gaskets are included, but the "usually bought together" section on the Amazon page persuaded me to buy more. It was simple to set up and it works perfectly!.

How could I go wrong when I paid just under $28 for it? Whoops! There has been an increase in the price. br>br>On my previous above-ground pool, I had a skimmer similar to this one, but it had a smaller mouth. This one works better because it has a wider mouth. It narrows on the inside, causing the water to move faster as it enters the skimmer, allowing more floating debris to be pulled in. (The unique flush valve on my new Kholer toilet works in a similar way to provide a quick flush with minimal water. ) )br>br>Installation was fairly straightforward, but time-consuming. It was difficult because turning those screws took all of my arthritic hands' strength. Fortunately, I had followed another reviewer's advice and screwed in then removed all of the screws before installing. I couldn't get them in without using a drill because I didn't have the strength. Even after taking this extra step, it was still difficult for me to install the screws by hand, which resulted in blisters by the end of the process. Gloves should have been worn. (The pool was almost full of water, and I wasn't going to use an electric drill while standing in it. ) I suppose this was one of those rare occasions when a battery-powered drill would have been useful. ) The most difficult part is aligning the holes and getting the screws to bite - The first few in particular. If you want to avoid leaks, make sure those screws are TIGHT. Please be patient in this situation. When you're finished, it'll all be worth it. br>br>It's a shame that above-ground pools don't have a skimmer like this. A simple underwater hole in the pool's side will not suffice. I never have to manually vacuum my pool because of this skimmer and my Intex robot vacuum. I simply maintain a clean set of filters. The skimmer's only flaw is the flimsy little basket inside. It certainly gets the job done, but it's a little light on the ground and feels a little brittle. It'll require some caution on my part. br>br>I strongly recommend this skimmer, but I recommend waiting for a good deal. br>br>Another pool-related tip: In a large mixing bowl, combine the water and the Dawn dish soap. There will never be any bugs in your pool, and wasps/yellow jackets will not be able to land on the water's surface. They can either give up and fly away, or they can drown and be sucked into the skimmer.

Utilize various screws I don't understand the reviews that claim they simply "screwed it on" like it was easy after spending 5 hours trying to get the screws to go all the way in. The skimmer's screw holes were not threaded or a perfect match. I was sore for a few days after putting so much effort into getting the screws tight enough to keep our pool from leaking. My husband attempted it as well, but the screws did not go far enough in to keep the plastic square around the gasket from leaking. Many screws were stripped before we were able to tighten them sufficiently. Another issue was that the screws they sent were flat, which made screwing a flat end through a tight plastic liner a nightmare. My husband suggested we try different screws after I became concerned that I had ruined our pool. He went to the hardware store and bought some that were the same thickness, but were made of better material and had points on them. As seen in the illustration. We replaced all of the screws we had received, and the leaks were significantly reduced. Thank goodness for that! This product would be significantly better if the manufacturer could improve the screws that come with it. The skimmer is excellent and comes with numerous attachments. It also functions properly. It also came at a reasonable price. Simply replace the screws if they are flat, and you will enjoy this product.

Spend the extra money on a Hayward brand; I thought to myself, "How different can it be?" Even the setup was a headache. The screw holes were a little too close together. I'm a 6'220lb man who stands 6' tall. My occupation is that of a laborer. This was a nightmare for me to put together. When I first installed the hayward unit, I had no such problems. To make matters worse, the skimmer basket pops out of place whenever the pump is turned on and off. The vacuum fitting is a flimsy two-piece hunk of junk, and the provided fitting has a massive reduction in internal size, reducing the flow of my pump by half. That I immediately replaced after noticing. The lid does not simply slip into place and be twisted on. Trying to get rid of it feels like a mission impossible. I've made the worst purchase I've ever made.

This was installed on a 12' round above-ground pool with soft sides. It leaked through the seals the first time I installed it. This was due to the fact that it was installed on a vinyl pool with a soft side. I used a marine-grade, water-proofing silicone caulking and let it dry overnight on both sides of the two baskets. There are no leaks. This is excellent value for money; it outperforms the INTEX removable skimmers, which we had to replace every year due to our children knocking them over. This is a long-term solution that is also child-resistant.
