Questions & Answers

Did you follow instructions to cut a hole if you had to? And what did you use to cut the hole?

There is no need to worry about it. When the water level is just below the desired level, use a sharp object to punch out the screw holes for the skimmer. Take a razor blade and cut out the square opening as soon as the device is installed and aligned.

What is the difference between the Hayward SP1091LX DynaStor and the new one? Here are the highlights - Can the Ground Pool Skimmer be installed with both sides of the skimmer sealed? Would it be possible to have a pair for the inside and a pair ?

A butterfly gasket is included with the skimmer. Gaskets on the inside and outside of the pool are used here to prevent chlorinated water from making contact with pool walls (and rusting them). The butterfly is made up of two gaskets that are joined at the outer edge, and thereby are capable of slipping The kind of In the middle of your index and middle fingers there is a meeting point. Added a skimmer to an Intex 22' x 52" Ultra Frame Swimming The skimmer in question was purchased for the purpose of attaching it to my Intex pool that did not come with one
5/5

There is an Intex Ultra-sized 22'x52" on my deck It is a frame pool that I recently upgraded with an Intex sand filter and pump with a salt water ECO system to replace the lousy cartridge pump that was originally installed. As a result, I researched a lot of the reviews and questions asked about this product as well as many YouTube videos and Google searches for getting the best installation instructions. With the Hayward skimmer, you get a very durable and visually appealing product. The filter is built into the device - The hardware for your pool, a gasket, and everything else needed to get it up and running. Many of the reviews on this site say to cut the butterfly gasket into two pieces, install the skimmer onto the liner, and then cut out the liner where the opening for the skimmer is. By taking the skimmer inlet faceplate and tracing around the inside of the inlet and holes for the screws, I did the opposite. Using a punch, I punched one hole in the liner where the screws should be. Having marked out my inlet outline with a box cutter, I slowly cut out the liner around the inlet outline I had marked earlier as my water level was below the bottom. My gasket could now be fitted around both sides of my liner, which is what it was designed for. As soon as I had the screws through the inlet faceplate and the gasket, I tightened them tightly into the body of the skimmer. Almost no trimming of the screws was required, and everything bolted together well without any leaks. The skimmer wasn't going to be hard-plumbed, and I had two extra Intex hoses laying around from when I bought the sand filter pump I decided to try to use to make the plumbing look as clean and factory-made I had to go to Lowe's to find everything I needed to make this work, because the Intex hose ends are 40mm and not your typical pump fitting size (1 1/2"). In addition to being able to use the two inlet ports on the pool and the skimmer, I also wanted to be able to shut off the flow to the skimmer. The skimmer hose had to be connected to the original inlet hose at the pump inlet with a ballcock, and a tee fitting had to be attached to the skimmer hose to do this. There was a 3" long double threaded pipe with 1 1/2" threads that threaded right into the body of the skimmer. The pipe ends were wrapped in PTFE tape to prevent leaks, and I then installed the ballcock (1 1/2" threads as well) onto the pipe. I found some adapter fittings on Amazon that allow you to attach an Intex 40mm hose to A pack of two comes in this set from GAME. got two packs and attached one of the fittings to the ballcock and gave one of the extra Intex hoses a gasket, then went on to install the additional fitting. Two more special adapter fittings were installed onto my 1 1/2" tee fitting and the other end of my skimmer hose was attached to one side of the tee using a gasket, then my original inlet hose was attached using the same gasket. Because I didn't have anything to attach two of the 40mm Intex fittings at the pump inlet and the other end of the tee together, I decided to use the slide-on hose fitting that came with the skimmer and attached it to the middle My extra Intex hose was cut off the end and jammed into the Hayward slide-on fitting with a box cutter. I then put a generous amount of silicone RTV sealant on the outside and the inside of the hose end where it meets It was a simple matter of connecting my tee with my two new skimmer hoses and original inlet hoses to my sand filter pump and letting them dry for an hour. The hoses are all connected successfully after wrapping several layers of PTFE tape around them and there has not been a leak so far! There is a possibility that this will prove useful to someone who wishes to add one of these nice skimmers to their pool in the future.

A huge increase in water volume! In addition, My 22' round Intex pool is equipped with this skimmer
5/5

Make sure you take your time when you cut the butterfly gasket for a soft-sided seal There are four sides to the It was about 1/4" below the top seam of the pool to install my skimmer. It must be level with the seam and a level should NOT be used! The skimmer will pick up if your pool is off level at all. I have heard several people discuss that in the past. Make sure to fill the pool to within a foot of where the skimmer is mounted, so the liner will not become stretched and Besides applying a thin bead of silicone sealant around the pool edge after installation, I also sealed the outside of the skimmer with clear silicone. I found a small leak at one corner of the pool as soon as I installed it and filled it. There were no leaks after the sealant was applied. In the first place, I was surprised by the volume of water that I noticed. To connect my skimmer and pump, I used the 1 1/2" Intex hose and the adaptor to connect my skimmer and pump. For about $10 for two (which I only used), I purchased the plug adaptor on Amazon. There were a few people who claimed their pipes leaked, but mine did not. You just need to be careful that you do not overtighten the adaptor. A squeezed "O" ring would make it difficult for the device to operate. Last but not least, it became clear to me that my pool was much cleaner since there was more water going through the filter system. I can tell you that it was quite scary to cut your liner, but it was.

That's what we've been looking for our vinyl index above the round one
5/5

In addition, My Intex 22'x52" vinyl pool appears to be a good fit for this kit. Floating skimmers always irritated me as they bobbed around and clogged up the pool. I installed the software in around 30 minutes. A 1. has been installed. Intake valve has a 5" ball and a T so you can turn the water off and if you need to use the existing intake, you can do so. Although I am still filling the pool as I write this, I have not yet hooked up the vacuum to it.

It's like this. The skimming machine. Using one like this in an in-house environment worked just as well as having a permanent one Swimming pool below the ground. Despite the fact that I got a serious chest pain when my husband made the first cut, the installation was much easier than I expected (with two people). Make a mistake with the cut and your pool goes out of date! In any case, he has a steady hand, and after that it was a piece of cake. Although the hole for the screws in the skimmer housing are not threaded, we were surprised to find that the screw heads If you do that yourself, you'll need someone with strong arms and hands to do it (unless that is you). It works perfectly despite having slanted side walls, but our pool has slanted side walls, so the skimmer sits at a slant. Those having problems adapting a ball valve may be interested in the Hayward ball valve that is especially designed The specification for this trimline ball valve is Hayward SP0723. You may be thinking about The answer was unknown to me. The price on Amazon is about $20, so you can still find it there. My husband and I are plumbing idiots, so we were confused by the reviewer's instructions on how to adapt it, so we simply connected it straight and used It was my daughter who found it. My order will be delivered tomorrow and I will update the review once I found the rubber stopper much more affordable and it worked perfectly. The money might be better off saved. ) When it's all said and done, I should have done this a long time A few days ago, our family got a new automatic vacuum cleaner, so I named it With his partner, he is now in a better position. It's called what you think it is. A ginger root. Now that I have Fred and Ginger cleaning my pool for me, I feel much better. I am a fan.
