I've been using it for quite some time and it's always worked for me. Pollen is abundant in the swimming pool every spring. These socks make cleaning the pool a lot easier for me. I have not discovered any other swimming pool equipment that has been damaged.
They certainly have the capability. I've been using these socks in the pool for a week and they're fantastic. Normally, I remove them to clean them. I'm relieved to discover that they'll be beneficial to my pool.
It does exactly what it says on the label. It's referred to as a "sock." Stretch the "open" end around the top of the basket and place it in the "toe" end. It's snug, which is good, but not so snug that stretching it around the top would be difficult. If your basket has a "grab bar" to help you pull it out, remove it before installing the sock and replace it afterward. Easy- peasy!
The socks are the only thing missing. But it's of good quality, thicker and nicer than store brand, and it lasted a week or two for me.

These are fantastic. I recently purchased a "Pool Skim" basket, which is attached to your pool return line, and let me say that it removes debris from the top of my pool 10 times better than my skimmer. Second, these socks are absolutely fantastic. I now use them in conjunction with my regular skimmer and the "Pool Skim. " I can't believe how filthy they get even though I change them once a week. I haven't noticed any loss of suction. I haven't had to clean my pool filter in three weeks (I used to wash it weekly), and I've only vacuumed it once. br>As a side note, they also fit amazingly well over your head/face to frighten the wife and kids! No, I was not compensated or paid in any way. Everyone reads reviews and makes purchases based on them; if something works well, it is deserving of praise.
I have to say, this turned out better than I expected. We recently installed a pool, and these came highly recommended by a friend, despite the fact that the pool company and cleaning service both stated that they were not required. Regardless, we purchased because the price is excellent for the quantity of items. Our pool is screened in, but because it is new, we put these on even though the pool appears to be in good condition. After one day, I pulled up the cover and discovered that the filter sock was covered in pollen and other dirt. I took it off, cleaned it, and re-applied it. The next day, it was the same. Pollen, dog hair, dirt, and other irritants are all captured by this device. Although the filter may catch it, why would you want it to make it to the equipment, where it could cause problems? These little trinkets are fantastic. They're still a good deal even if they only last a week or so. I strongly advise you to purchase these to aid in the cleaning of your pool.
The socks were purchased on October 30, 2020. The year is 2021, and today is January 28th. My first sock, which I put on the basked in early November, finally failed yesterday. It was pierced by a hole. br>br>I have a 15,000 gallon pool in the middle of the yard, which is surrounded by trees. I take the sock off and rinse it almost every day (except when I forget). I would have been overjoyed if I only had to change the sock once a week. As it turns out, I need to replace the sock every three months. br>br>The sock is so effective that backwashing the sand filter is no longer necessary. I haven't had to backwash a single sock since I started using it. br>br>Because my skimmer basket has a center post, I stretch the sock over the basket's OUTSIDE. When you first put it on, it's a tight fit, but as my experience has shown, it'll fit without tearing.
One of the best features of a pool is this. It captures all of the larger particles that would otherwise end up in the filter, as well as a significant amount of dust and dirt. It also cut my back. flushing time was cut in half, resulting in significant water and chemical savings. I've discovered that rinsing them and reusing them a couple of times is possible. I usually change them once or twice a week, but I have a lot of trees and shrubs around my pool, and they were causing a lot of issues. I gave some to a neighbor, who only uses them once a week. They will last about a year if you give them a good rinse in the house. Each one will last two weeks.
These pool skimmer socks are excellent quality and a great price. $12 for 30 pairs of socks! That's a deal you can't pass up. That's how much three pairs of socks cost at a local pool store. My pool filter has benefited greatly from the socks. My skimmer socks catch almost all of the debris in my pool water, ensuring that my filter stays spotless. If you clean the sock every day with a hose, you can usually get 5 to 7 days of use out of a single sock. I've told all of my pool neighbors about them. For anyone who owns a pool, this is a must-have! They will extend the life of your costly filter by several years. They're fantastic!.
This year, pollen and small debris floating on the surface of our pool has been a major issue for us. It's so small that the filter cartridges had to be replaced because the through-the-wall skimmer basket couldn't catch it. br>The Pool Skimmer Sock is an excellent product! br>At the through-the-wall basket, it collects all of the small debris and pollen. br>It takes two hours to clean it. It's ready to use again in seconds. The Pool Skimmer Socks are one of my favorites.
These debris shields are inexpensive, but only if you want a disposable product. I've been using Leslie's Debris Shields for several years and decided to give these a try because they were less expensive. The Leslie's shields last over a year and are rinsed clean weekly. In the skimmer basket, I also placed a 3" chlorine tab. This product only lasts about a week before it starts to rip. The chlorine tab may cause ripping, but I find them to be insufficiently durable. Also, once they rip, all of the fine gunk ends up in your pool filter. Let's go back to Leslie's.
Every year, we close the pool. Last season, I began wearing these pool skimmer socks. They reduced the number of finers used. I assume this will allow for longer periods between filter sand replacements because of the minute particles that get stuck in the filter sand.
