It's nice to have a nearly flat net like this. There is a reason why this type is becoming harder to find. The white netting I use for leaves is great for locating tadpoles, fish, and snails that I pick up to put them back in at the end of the day when I am done playing outside. I've had similar ones in the past, and the weak point of this style is that you can't repeatedly knock into rocks with it or the net that hangs over the frame will be torn. It is also not designed for serious weight bearing, so if you are fishing for big clumps of debris on the bottom, you should use a stronger net to raise the debris to the top, then use this to catch the fish and not the.
I use it to remove debris from a small koi It is rare to find small or round nets. By scooping the debris off the bottom of the pond with the round shape, I can reach far back into the I would strongly recommend it.
The method would work for any size pond. I have a small pond, but I'm sure it would work for any pond.
There is a lot of strength in the net and handle. Observation 2. A weak connection appears to exist between the handle and the net frame. Using must be done with great care. 1. 2. 3. The parts of the metal frame separated from the plastic parts. The two pieces were glued together and work perfectly.
A plastic one was broken and I had to replace it. You're the best. It was plastic and had broken from exposure to the sun and getting old. A little larger but still very versatile, this is a great replacement.
I suppose I should have read the description before clicking purchase- this would be awesome if you have a large fish pond, but not so awesome if you have a nano fish tank. Oh well, I'm heading to catch butterflies now.
It's not particularly hard to use though the weave is a bit loose so if you're trying to catch smaller fish get ready to be disappointed. The fairy moss and duck weed can be scooped out easily.
