It didn't fit my summer waves pool's pole.
Yes. On the water, just about anything can float around. It's a beautiful net that's also extremely durable. This pool skimmer is fantastic, and it fits my old pole perfectly.
I don't know, but it appears to be of excellent quality.

There are a lot of positive things to say about the internet. The net collapses into itself and fits perfectly between the frame after you clean your pool and turn it over to empty the leaves. To get rid of the leaves, you don't have to push the net through. You won't have to push the net through again when you flip it over. Yay! No more getting my hands wet, which is especially useful in the fall when it's cold outside, and the flat part of the frame makes it simple to drag across the pool's bottom to scrape up small leaves and debris. This is one of the most impressive nets I've ever seen.
This is a tough pool skimmer net that I use to keep my pool clean. Others I've tried have broken, tore up, or disintegrated over time; I just wish the meshing was smaller because I live in Florida and there are the tiniest gnats I've ever seen that seem to appear out of nowhere and land on the pool's surface. Unfortunately, this skimmer does not catch all of them, so I'll need to add a finer mesh, which is no problem because I've found one that will fit inside this skimmer and will be installing it. I'll post a picture when I'm finished, because you might want to do this cheap adaptation if you have the same problem I do with smaller insects. I prefer crystal clear water, so in the meantime, I've added a skimmer sock to my skimmer basket, which is performing admirably.
It's a terrible product that doesn't stand up to the test of time. On the first day, the blue plastic that held the skimmer net cracked and broke. The water cannot sift through the blue skimmer mesh net because the weave is too tight, and the water's weight is too much for the blue plastic. This is a terrible product, far worse than what you'll find in supercenters. Simply flinging cash into the air.
This is a very attractive and well-designed pool skimmer. I purchased the same one two years ago and it has served me well. After two years of exposure to the sun, the net has begun to tear in a few spots. That was pretty darn good, in my opinion. The new frame (as opposed to the two-year-old frame) has screws that "might" allow for the replacement of the net. Selling a new replacement net would be a fantastic addition, as I only needed a new one. The frame, which is two years old, is still in great shape. I'm hoping that ANSUN will sell a replacement net at some point in the future.
The product appears to be well-made, with thicker plastic that is more durable and secures to the pole. The net also appears to be of good quality, and the front scoop is functional. I also like how the screws help secure the net. We have a pebble tec pool surface, so scooping up items from the pool bottom cuts at the plastic, but I think that's to be expected with our rougher surface. For the price, I believe the product is superior to what I anticipated.
The product is, in fact, extremely durable. The bag's mesh, on the other hand, is so fine that it traps both air and water, making it difficult to use. When you scoop leaves from the pool's bottom and lift the bag to empty it, trapped air bubbles escape and the leaves are flushed out. The fine mesh also means that the water drains slower and is heavier once it is out of the water. To be fair, I suffer from a bad back, so the weight may be more noticeable to me. Others may not have a problem with this. In a nutshell, the mesh is a problem because it traps air and water. It is, in fact, extremely durable.
For some reason, this did not appeal to me. I returned to the brick-and-mortar store to purchase the more expensive leaf net. I paid an exorbitant price, but I'm now satisfied. This one kept letting the leaves and debris fall into the pool with ease. It's a real pain. And, yes, I am aware of what I am doing. For nearly 50 years, I've been cleaning our swimming pool. This may work for someone else, but it does not work for me.
It does not pick up debris from the pool's bottom, and it appears to be too thick to pick up anything, so unless it's floating, it's useless. Furthermore, after only three uses, the net had already ripped without being caught on anything. Because the return window has closed, I am now stuck with this useless net.
