From hinge to hinge, the outside diameter is 30 1/4 in. Back to front (excluding the handle), the outside diameter measures 29 3/8 in. (It's not a perfect circle because it folds) I really like it.

This fire screen was purchased to go on top of my solo stove bonfire and fits perfectly. It's as if it was designed specifically for it. The build quality is excellent, and I am confident that I will continue to use it for many years.
I really wanted to like this, but it's slightly too big for our SoloStove Bonfire, which was recommended to us by the SoloStove people. It will sit on top and function, but as soon as you open the side to add something, it will fall off. So, if your plan is to only build one fire at a time and not add anything to it, After that, everything will be fine. In terms of product quality, it's fine; it just doesn't fit the SoloStove very well.
I could add braces to it, but it would look unattractive, like a mushroom cap. I'm still looking for a 19" item. It would be ideal if the material was stainless steel. Is it true that Solo reads these reviews?.
Rather than pay the exorbitant price for the Solo version, I purchased this. Once the ring is removed from the Solo, the screen fits reasonably well (there is a small gap on one side, but it has no bearing on performance). Small sparks continue to fly, but larger ones are effectively stopped. It appeals to me because it has both height and a retractable screen for easy wood loading. Obviously, it blocks some of the heat, but I've found that if the wood is dry enough, you can open the screen, deflecting the heat back at you. For a deck, this is ideal! I'll update my review if it doesn't hold up to the heat or breaks down, but so far it's held up well after four burns.
This spark screen is quite substantial, and it's nice to have around when it's windy or dry. This screen will not stay in place as you open and close it because there is no way to anchor it. I'll need to figure out how to keep it safe. In an ideal world, the manufacturer would have included instructions on how to secure it. Other reviewers have expressed their dissatisfaction with the fact that it rusts. Unless you want to spend a lot of money on stainless steel, which is a given. It is possible to repaint, but even the high-end Temporary paints will not withstand a campfire, so I keep mine out of the sun. I expect it to last for years if it is properly cared for. Excellent craftsmanship.
While other reviewers said it fit well, I found it to be a little too large in diameter to properly fit my Solo Bon Fire. It's neither the seller's nor the product's fault; I'll make a minor change, and everything should be fine. Nice quality product, a little pricey, and the numbers on the stated size could be a little closer, but overall, it's a nice addition to the fire pit.
Heavy duty, and would have been ideal if the dimensions in the description had been correct. My pit is 30" in diameter at the opening, so this screen wouldn't even come close to covering it, let alone having enough overhang to rest on the rim. This was purchased to replace a 30" screen that had rusted out over the course of several years of use. I was looking for a high dome, and this one was perfect. It's a little heavy, and it barely fits in my firepit, so it's prone to falling off. I'm going to hire a welder to add some side tabs to keep it in place. Because of its two-piece design, you can't lift it out of the pit without grabbing it with your hand(s), so gloves will be required to install and remove it - You can't pick it up by the handle like a single-piece cover with a tool. If you want to remove it while it's still hot, you'll need fireplace gloves. It's too early to tell whether the paint will rust in the intense heat of a fire and the Texas humidity. So far, I'm happy with the quality and construction; my only wish is that it were a little wider.
