That is an excellent query. The handle is welded with a threaded rod that passes through the top of the screen and is tightened and held in place by a nut on the other side. Because spark screens are exposed to high temperatures, this is the preferred method of attaching handles to them. Please contact us if you have any further questions. When I first used it, I noticed that the paint was quickly burning off, leaving a rust-colored mesh and frame behind. When contacted via email, the seller advised that it should be painted over with high-temperature paint. That is something I suggested they do during the manufacturing process. It worked fine for a few days, but the mesh has now detached from the frame and warped, as you can see in the photos. I'm not sure anyone could make it better—even if I paid four times as much as the alternative. This one is up for grabs.
I received the item (spark shield) in excellent condition and returned it to you. It was never used because it was the wrong size, and I returned it in good faith, expecting a full refund, as stated on your website (see below). After a week in the sun and one use in the fire pit - It has started to rust! When the product arrived, it was in perfect condition. It looked fantastic and met all of our requirements. 75% of it is rusting after only a week of use on our fire pit and being outside for a week outside outside outside outside outside outside outside outside outside outside outside out I expected rust after one use and a week outside, but not after only one use. This is a product that I do not recommend.
It comes highly recommended from me. This is a great deal. You can pay a lot more than this. It works, though after the first use it warped and turned white (perhaps they all do). It's still functional and prevents large ash or cinder fragments from flying around. I bought it to keep my dog from digging in the ash, but I also use it when there are paper or other sparks flying around that I don't want to worry about. br>br>The handle doesn't quite fit the holes, but a washer on each side of the screen fixes that. The holes provided for the handle are roughly twice as large as the handle requires, so the nut tries to walk right through it. If you have washers on hand, this is a simple fix. I'm not sure why the holes don't match the hardware or why washers aren't included, but I can provide a couple washers for the $50 I saved. br>br>I like it, and I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't looking for something overly ornate.
This ember spark arrestor cover and poker, measuring 27"W x 6"H, is well worth the money; they didn't lie. It's tougher than firepits with ember spark arrestor covers; the mesh and frame are both tough, and it's quite heavy. At the end of the video I've provided, you can hear it thud on my carpet. I haven't tested the heat resistance, but the mesh and frame have a gritty finish. Although one corner of the mesh appears to be bulged, it does not appear to be compromised when pressed; it does not give way in that location. This was a gift for my in-laws, so I bought it. Even though it doesn't cover the entire perimeter of my pit, I used ground concrete blocks to cover the fire inside it. Because the larger ones are out of my price range, this one will suffice. The dimensions are 27"W x 6"H (rise). I used a measuring tape, magnet, and flat surface to get the 6" measurement, which I obtained by looking through the mesh. It's at least 5-stars, in my opinion. It is surprisingly heavy, weighing 6 pounds, if not more. This is how they should all be made, especially if they're straight from the portable 2-pack. part of a fire pit with a cover You won't be disappointed with just this cover if you buy a poker contents box in a store or online. This is an excellent match for our barrel of burning wood. It fits with a little overhang and is a lot easier to work with than the wire mesh we were using previously. For any 55 gallon burning barrel, I strongly recommend it.
We didn't want to spend another $200 on a fire pit cover for our Solo. This fulfills the requirement. Is there a connection? No. However, there is no discernible difference at night, and our chair cushions no longer have burn holes! Excellent work!.
In March 2021, my house was set on fire. I used to live in a bad part of town, but I enjoyed it. I put in a lot of effort to keep my neighborhood clean. So I and my girlfriend relocated to a blue-collar suburb. I've previously lived in a war-torn area. On my porch, nothing was ever taken. However, I was given a fire pit, which was stolen here a week later. br>So a friend built a massive fire pit for me. But, because some people mistake me for a boy scout, I'm afraid of fire, so I needed a mesh cover. It's a little big for the fire pit, but it'll do the job, keep it covered, and keep it safe. And the lid lifter/log mover is an excellent addition. I'm not at all sorry I bought it.
