I'm having trouble locating the original 22. Covering a fire pit with a screen that is 5 inches in diameter is a great idea Is the 23 in going to be a good fit?

It fits fine, but I've only had this screen for a year and it already has a hole in it. Neither do I ever burn with it on. It's simply due to the poor quality of the display.

Is the diameter 23" on the inside or outside?

Ours is a 22-person team. The wire ring measures 7/8" on the outside. From the outside, it's a smidgeon under 23".

Is it a stainless steel product?

Rust is inevitable.

The Problem Is As Follows: The screen fits, but it's about 1/2 inch too short, and it cost more than the standard 23-inch measurements

While we will use it, I am fairly certain that someone's 23-inch measurement and mine are vastly different.

This screen is perfect for my fire pit, but it rusted where the flames hit it after just one use

I assume the coating was burned off? I'm not sure, but it's rusty in some places.

The item was already missing paint when it arrived, so it was not worth a quarter of the price

Half of it is rusted after one use, and it bends easily. I'd return it, but it's the only one in the 22/23" size that I could find.

This is the second time I've bought a screen for my fire pit. Because it's identical to the original screen, it'll fit perfectly (30"). It appeals to me greatly.
