My bluebird house had its opening chewed open by a squirrel. I was able to restore the hole to its original size and save myself from buying a new birdhouse by installing this. In an effort to prevent it from happening again, I also bought and installed a copper guard on this piece. Easy to install and takes five minutes.

The tattered bird boxes can easily be replaced with these. My guess is that woodpeckers or nuthatches may have made the entrance larger, but no matter. I was able to simply attach these over the damaged area in just So we'll see how long they last after being put in.
