Product Description

They're great for encouraging natural bird feeding behavior. Just scatter on the ground to get them started. You will seem to be in heaven when you feed your girls Flygrubs. Ducks, bluebirds, birds, turtles, and bearded dragons also love them.
Mealworms Provide Fewer Essential Nutrients 85X more calcium, 36-42% protein, 25-30% healthy fat, fiber, lysine, phosphorus, and dietary fat than those in mealworms.
Purchasing the worms in their full size rather than breaking them in half is more convenient for customers. Easily handled by chickens compared to freeze dried worms and much easier to handle than live mealworms.
The Flygrubs promote healthier feather production by boosting the eggshell strength of birds by feeding larvae of black soldier fly larvae and by helping chickens regain normal energy levels by eating this product.
It'll be a resounding success for your flock when you offer organic chicken feed to lay You don't have to answer any questions!

Questions & Answers

When growing these flygrubs, which country does the farm come from?

Because China uses advanced methods and has produced insects for thousands of years, we specifically chose to raise flygrubs there because of their extensive experience and highly efficient methods of raising Our goal is to provide our customers with the most affordable and highest quality BSFL available in the US. Our BSF products are carefully monitored at every phase of the process to ensure quality and consistency. Structural specifications, exacting legal requirements, and various US government regulations (such as the FDA) are followed to ensure quality and compliance. If you are going to buy grub from a restaurant, please make sure that a "Made in the USA" tag isn't just a marketing ploy to inflate the

Can you recommend a mealworm that is best ?

I am glad to be able to help you with The reason FLYGRUBS are not mealworms is because they are not furry. The dried larvae of the Black Soldier Fly are called FLYGRUBS. Unlike mealworms, FLYGRUBS are high in nutrition, and contain, on average, 85 times more calcium, about 40% crude protein, and about 27% crude fat than mealworms. Lauric Acid (a healthy fat which is good for the gut) is also present in them, while mealworms do not. A traceable pre- or probiotic diet is offered to FLYGRUBS Food waste such as fruits, vegetables, and grains that would otherwise be disposed of in a landfill is consumed. Moreover, studies have demonstrated that only 3% of food waste can be reused globally. These landfills produce methane, which negatively affects the climate about 20x worse than carbon dioxide. Bluebirds, songbirds, and migrating birds all love these landfills. Although it wouldn't be accurate for me to say we are the best, we will try our best to do a good Thank you, Emily - all the best.

In order to prevent rickets, a starter or grower feed contains less calcium than a layer feed. Can this product react badly with young hens because it contains too much calcium?

Good to hear from you, it doesn't seem to be the case from We feed FLYGRUBS in limited amounts to our pullets, but if this is an issue for you, hold off on adding the feed until you feel comfortable doing so.

What is the inside of the box made of? Can the box be recycled? Do the flygrubs lie loose inside, and are they loose?

Thank you Jessica - yes, on the inside of the box you can find a zip-up resealable bag. In both cases, the box and bag are made of recycled materials and they can both be recycled. Please accept my sincere thanks for your time. My best wishes to you, Emily *br>

A word of warning about slick advertising! In my mind, these could have been a substitute for mealworms
3/5

Over a week has passed, and yet the backyard birds are far from having any interest in them. Unfortunately, I now have five pounds of dried grubs and $35 going to the trash. It has been pointed out to me that these are not from the USA like others thought. Born in China and raised there. While the packaging and marketing materials online display slick advertising, if birds do not eat the product, then it is worthless.

Hens love them because they are tasty and healthy
5/5

The company's nbsp Flygrubs were my hens' favorite food for the first time and they're still going strong! They always come to me as soon as I get out of the house and get a treat, I don't have to call them. As far as I can tell, this is the best product I have ever used. It is different from mealworms I used to purchase that had a tendency to be crushed when chickens pecked at them. Moreover, I observe that the yolks in their eggs have improved. I would like to thank you for making this great product. That's a great idea!.

The larvae of flying insects are known as Most people may not consider grubs, worms, or fly larvae welcome guests however, they may be vital to the ecosystem Generally speaking, insects can be divided into But since I became a chicken person last year, I can say that to keep my girls happy on a daily basis, they need not just any treats, but the right kind of treats
5/5

There's nothing better than plump, delicious chicken for my hens, and these cute little buggers are the best. When I opened the bag, the smell was remarkably pleasant, like an ice cream cone. They have that quality about them that I like very much. Whenever I have eaten mealworms, they always had a prominent fishy smell. The only thing better than vanilla ice cream is fly grubs. While it's not as cold as ice cream, it feels nice in your mouth. This is more of a crispy rice type of dish. I would say that's not I could imagine it being good dusted with cocoa and served with ice cream while watching a In any case, I imagine the chickens feel the same way, judging from the way they run and jump and gather all around me when I bring them these One thing to remember when opening the perforated bag - be careful not to puncture things in the bag. The perforation did not follow the line, so the seam ended up ripping. The matter is not that important If possible, I recommend using scissors so that you preserve the resealability of the Ziploc bag.

There is a huge difference between the quality of the shell and the happiness of the chickens! These flygrubs are much appreciated by our three girls
5/5

In addition to their calcium, I usually give them mealworms There was a time when people ate rich food, but now that the weather is cooler, they eat different things. The best laying lady continues to lay just fine, but another stopped laying altogether, and another is laying "soft" eggs and/or eggshells that are extremely fragile. Our order was placed on November 28th and so far, we've always received two sturdy boxes within a week The egg farm regularly shells 3 eggs a day in addition to an occasional 3rd egg every 3 days Only 4 days until the end of the year! I have used other brands of fly grubs and mealworms in the past, but never has the result been as positive and rapid. Besides the excellent product, the customer service is awesome as well. It was directly from the small-business owner who reached out to me The company owner, Emily, follows up with me soon after I placed my order and also after I receive the box. No doubt I will order again. However, this won't have to be done for at least a month or two yet because the girls have a lot of fly grubs to deal with.

Value that is out of this world MUST TRY for the entire family
5/5

They are "crushing" these in our backyard coop! We appreciate the support of our local CO The seller of the 5lb USA raised standard mealworms ran out, so we decided to opt instead for the FlyGrubs. In the future, FlyGrubs will only be used to comply with two requirements I especially appreciate the care and attention to detail with which Emily and her family produce and package their products- These ingredients result in a snack the hens prefer to the rest hands down. As a second point, I intentionally referred to names. sent me a note and provided a direct contact number if I need further help. (Her online resources include additional information on bird nutrition and maximizing the health of readily available chicken feed. I would like to end this "shot" by saying-.

With this tasty treat, you'll be able to make your chickens happy! The company's nbsp We just can't get enough of these! The boss lady bought them for us, and we can't It is a treat for her, though she rations them out
5/5

The problem is, we have gotten the upper hand! Every time the garage door opens, we run inside and leave "gifts" This plump, tasty critter is the only way we can leave! If the Boss Lady throws a handful of these down for us, we will leave! Our family hangs out by the garage now, and we rush in as soon as it's open! Our recommendation for these treats is a definite yes!.

As a hen owner, I am an advocate of keeping my girls healthy
5/5

In my role as an Airbnb host, egg seller, and egg lover, I ensure the quality of the eggs that I serve to my guests, my customers, and even myself. It is vital for an animal's health that it consumes protein and calcium. Flygrubs has 85X more calcium, offering a better diet for my pets. I raise our pets in a variety of breeds from Orpingtons The Wyandotte Valley to the Welsummer Valley Flygrubs can be used to supplement a quality diet plan for flocks of quality breeds, including Dark Cornish and Ameraucana. Shells of the girls are of a thickness that allows them to peel hard boiled eggs and stay intact if one of them drops an egg while laying on the wooden boxes. brand new layers have yet to figure out how to lay in the box and not on top of it. I discovered that the girls seem more eager to eat Flygrubs than mealworms when I switched from mealworms to Flygrubs. Every day when I unlatch the hen house door, the chickens gather around me as they know grub distribution is about to begin. The chickens used to simply peck around in the coop's outdoor area, if they were allowed to. Girls thought that grubs were the best treat, and I heard them tell me this. We shall all be thankful to Flygrubs on behalf of Gladys, Collette, Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite, Mabel, Maude, Betty, Cornelia and all of our friends. I believe 2019 will be a wonderful year for delicious.

Advertising that is misleading
3/5

It is misleading to present and add material. When I discovered that the product was raised in China the minute I received it, I was so disappointed. From a company in Wyoming, I thought I was buying a product raised in the USA. There will be no more purchases of this product. The product from another company from the USA is more expensive, but I would be happy to pay a little more money for it.
