The Chinese. This product is FDA approved and packaged in the U.S. This is a dried larva of a black soldier fly. You can find more information on the website
The US Food and Drug Administration regulates farms in China, I guess.
They are a favorite of my adult hens, but I would hesitate to feed them to young chicks unless they are specifically designed for baby chicks.

So we brought her in, the men made her a box, and I searched for the owner on the town's Facebook page. Three or four eggs were laid over the next couple of days There were three more on my desk one on the bandsaw, one in recycled cardboard boxes, and one on my chair at my office. This chicken had obviously been cared for by an affectionate owner, as she was very tame, allowed people to pet her, and wasn't scared of people at all. There were no claims to her, however. The shop cat I bought was not like the shop cat, so I took her home and put her in the back yard. I bought a small chicken house, and she walked round the back yard almost every day and laid an egg. Eggs are my idea of a rental. They must be big, brown, and luscious. The one thing she really deserved was a special treat so that she could receive the same amount of enjoyment as we did. It is the perfect thing to eat fly larvae. Their love for them knows no bounds! She needs to keep herself entertained in the late fall and early winter, when things are getting cold. We think this is a great idea and it was a big hit with our family.
I have no idea if they are liked by the chicken or It seems a little unfair that I paid a premium only to find the words "RAISED IN CHINA" on the box. As I search for bugs for my pets, I try to find bugs that have at least some protection from coming from the most polluted country with no environmental.
As an alternative to dried mealworms put out for wild birds, rather than for chickens, I purchased these. Because black soldier fly larvae have a very high calcium content — as a former reptile breeder I know that they make excellent feeder insects. phosphorous, which is why calcium supplements are used in pets. Cricket is the same as football. Nevertheless, soldier fly larvae have a high calcium content and do not need to be supplemented with calcium). As a window feeder, I used a clear acrylic window feeder with two cups, using one cup for mealworms and the other for flygrubs. Approximately the same number of people are eating both options, so this was a successful event. The feeder is being frequented by small birds like cardinals, tufted titmouses, Carolina wrens, and mockingbirds. (I am sure there are others that I have failed to notice). The squirrels do not seem to care. It gives me great pleasure to provide the birds with these, because I know that when spring comes, the chicks can feed them to their mothers, and the correct nutrition will be provided (this is not possible with mealworms). It is also highly competitive with hulled bird seed in price. In the future, I will definitely purchase more of these products.
It is nothing personal against the makers of this product, and I am sure there are fine ducks out there who would roll up their flight feathers, wear a bib, and graze on these things, but unfortunately, they are not the south Florida Muscovy Ducks. As a result of the advertising, I believed I would be doing a Quack-Check You'd think you'd be doing the dinosaurs a favor by giving them these more expensive grubs, but nope, their favourite is the much cheaper Purina Duck Chow 16. It may have been a goose, and Quack #17 was just an example. In addition to reading compressor maps on turbos, I can explain the benefits of lower compression pistons in supercharged motors as well as why extra light fuel is good for your vehicle Overlapping intake to exhaust cam lobes on the same motor can be such a blessing, especially on direct-injection motors. But you need to distinguish a duck from a goose from a gallinule and from a quake. Where's the dinosaur? It's not as bad as it sounds. It is fair to say that the things we have over here who look like ducks, walk like ducks, but don't really talk like ducks prefer Sincerely, I. A wisecracking quackophile.
In the winter, we prepared for both of them and then for the pandemic. Exactly two days prior to our state going into semi lock down, we bought 8 chicks from our local farm store. A year and five months later, we have 7 beautiful layers and one rooster who was misidentifed at hatching as a hen. His actions are not being judged by us. One of our hens became ill and we were able to nurse her back to health with mealworms fed to her. As we ran out of meal worms, we started feeding them the grubs. The chickens really enjoy the big grubs. They are nicely packaged, and they get a lot of attention from the chickens. My husband and I use the grubs to contain the tension when the rooster makes an atrocious mess of my husband. He does not like my husband at all, and the grubs prevent the rooster from having a fun time with him.
gathered these as an alternative food source for all the insects eating birds that migrate throughout the winter and then find themselves in the snow in Maine. I mix a handful into my sunflower into my platform feeder, and I sprinkle a few for the robins here and there as well. Several more are located near a bluebird house as well. A bluebird has visited the feeder and kept an eye on Other birds have consumed them as well, including woodpeckers and flickers. They didn't seem too big to me, as I had previously feared. The next time I buy them, I will definitely get them again.
These FLYGRUBS haven't been touched by a bird or squirrel at all! It was 3 days ago that I put them out. Yesterday, I put some fruit out on the same feeder to see if there might be some reason that any critter would be attracted to it now, but the fruit was taken in There are still the FLYGRUBS. Is it possible that I received a spoiled package? My first impression when I opened them was of a strong odor. Years ago, I became a believer in feeding all the birds (and the persistent squirrels) dried metalworks. It never takes me more than a few minutes to get rid of the worms once I've put them out. On my mealworm feeder, you'll often find flocks of bluebirds and cardinals feeding their fledglings. There are no more critters after using this product. As soon as I return it, I'm going to eat mealworms again. There could be a difference in taste between chickens and people.
This is the mealworm my chickens and turkeys totally love, there are no casings like most of the mealworms that you can buy at the grocery store. There is no doubt that these are large and Second day, I didn't even need to call my chickens when they saw the green box they ran up to it I could hardly open it fast The next time I buy these, I will definitely purchase them!.
