Questions & Answers

How do you know which of the fling devices you need for 3/8 pitch from the degrees on the device?

A saw blade's ability to cut different materials differs. On top of your teeth, you will find a line.

Would someone who has never sharpened a chain saw be more likely to do it correctly?

It's not difficult to do. Make sure you mark the first tooth that you sharpen with a magic marker so you can tell when you have gone around all the way. Make sure you've got the right file, Angle is usually between 25 and 30 degrees, but sometimes the angle is indicated on the top of the cutting teeth. If you want to file every other tooth instead of turning the blade, make sure you remember that a tooth runs the opposite way. It usually takes two to three days A total of 3 strokes are required for the edge to be brought That's the end of it.

When the depth gauge is turned on, how deep is it?

With this depth gauge, you can easily see when it's full. The set is made up of a and a 25. The depth of the trench is 30 inches.

How do you know which of the fling devices you need for 3/8 pitch from the degrees on the device?

Angles are specified by the maker of the chain you are referring to. There is no link between the pitch and the pitching (e.g. It is part of the 3/8" diameter). Don't worry if you don't have the number from your chain manufacturer. Just use 30* as a placeholder. It doesn't matter what pitch you use.

This is a poorly made product
3/5

In one week, the metal file holder that was made from pressed sheet metal failed at a fold in the sheet metal. It was a pleasure to use the files because they were sharp and cut cleanly. In this case, they used folded sheet metal instead of proper screws in order to make the thing. You can see that the file holder is being held in place by some rather chubby The photo at 1 shows you what I mean. Those two points are 1. the clip is simply folded over a cutout on the base of the file holder, and 2. the file holder has two sides. My device failed early in the first week of use due to a 90 degree fold in the metal. I believe the advertisement shows him sharpening without the file holder because he doesn't have one. Was it the same for him? As you can see on a different model, there are 3 in total. An effective way to hold the files is to use a 4mm hand screw, even though it uses 3mm. Quite often, a screw is damaged because of bent wire (you should use high-quality steel to prevent screw thread failure). It lasted several seasons for me when I had one before File guides cost $50, so no need to buy one!.

It is used to sharpen chain saws
4/5

Despite the good price, I gave this a four-star rating overall because the directions are so bad I had to look them up online in order to know A little more attention could be paid to the handle, but overall the item is used the item to sharpen a chain that wouldn't cut so good, it took only a little bit to sharpen it, once it was done cutting a large tree into firewood it worked perfect, i am glad i bought it, and I.

Kit is complete in every aspect
5/5

The kit contains a wide variety of files, as well as all the other tools necessary for chainsaw You can learn about sharpening on YouTube if you are new to the process. It's important to use the same pressure and number of strokes on each tooth for each side when filing the tooth. Otherwise your cuts will tend to walk to one side or the other when the tooth is sawed.

terrible, and it's quite affordable, but as they say, you get what you pay for
3/5

As they say, you get what you pay for. You don't get too much and it's not horribly expensive either. A problem with the guide prevented it from working correctly. It felt as though the file was trying to slip out and was In any case, I use my hands for work all day, every day, so I think the awkwardness in using the files didn't stem from me. I sharpened the chain reasonably well without the guide and the files were effective, considering their price.

You can read the reviews and the product does what it is meant to do
4/5

As an alternative to those expensive sharpening kits, this is a much cheaper option. Taking this approach takes a great deal more time and may not always result in 100% perfect results, but it does work. We are in northern Michigan, which is a state with many trees, but not all of them choose to be removed. And so I have been sharpening blades for a while now. As long as you get a handle on proper alignment, all of the product's features should work. Although it's a basic kit, it contains low quality files that won't last over time. However, for its price it will be all that the average homeowner needs once they watch how to properly sharpen blades on YouTube.

That's what I was looking for! Whenever we have to use the chainsaw, my husband is looking for the file
5/5

It seems like we should own 50 of them. As soon as I saw all the items were in one pouch, I thought this would make a really nice Father's Day present for him to take on a trip on the It is likely that his friends would be with him while he is working.

It is GARBAGE to read instructions! There is no real difference in quality between the product and the instructions
3/5

I gave these instructions a low rating because the instructions are worthless, and I mean that! Buying a kit that includes better instructions is a good idea if you have never sharpened a chainsaw chain before. I had to demonstrate how to use it to my brother. This item was given as a.

Chainsaw maintenance couldn't be easier with this kit
5/5

Including everything you need to preserve the effectiveness of your chainsaw, this kit makes maintaining it a snap. You can very easily use this program and it works very well. In addition, I like that it takes up little space, so you always have it at hand.
