Any chain with the proper measurements can be used with the ego 18" (CS1800 or CS1804) bar. br>0. 3/8 pitch low profile (lp) 050" gaugebr>62 drive links (comes to 18")br>br>If you search for these terms, chains as low as $10 can be found. I would not recommend purchasing the $10 chains because they are likely to be of poor quality. However, for $14, you can purchase Oregon chains that meet these requirements. 50 (if you buy a three-pack, it's cheaper). The Oregon chain, I'm fairly certain, can be purchased for $14. This is the same exact chain as number 50. As a result, Ego appears to be charging you nearly twice as much simply because they put their name on it. br>br>Aside from that, the chain is very nice; I had a dull chain that I tried to sharpen myself to no avail. There's a world of difference between a brand new chain and an old one. The chain will last for a long time (especially if you sharpen it properly). Just don't do what I did and wear out your original chain by hitting it on the ground. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>Since writing this review, I've added an Archer chain to my collection. Your chain will be dulled as a result. I went ahead and did it. As a result, I went out and purchased a new necklace. I'll have the original sharpened, and I'll have a backup chain now. Anyway, for around $30, it was a good deal.
I think I got about 20 cuts out of it. It isn't very long lasting. I think I got about 20 cuts out of it.
Tensioning system that is extremely simple to use. The 0 amp battery will be put to its full potential. Extra batteries are in my possession. My old gas-powered chainsaw was a lot quieter. No fumes. I'm not going back. The EGO system as a whole is exceptionally dependable. I also recently purchased their power inverter, which came with seven additional features. Batteries with a capacity of 5 amps.
When I used Ego chainsaw, I was a lumberjack. It really works.
They're just as good as the ones that cost more.
