Questions & Answers

What's the difference between this battery (bl1850-) and the previous one (bl1850-)? 2), as well as the bl1850b- 2 batteries, each of which is more expensive?

Makita has replaced the lower-cost battery with the BL1850B-II. 2 It has a built-in meter with a push button. For the best price, look for the newer 5amp, which has a built-in battery LED status.

Is it true that the 5. The star on the tool is required for 0 Ah batteries, just as it is for the 4. 0 Ah?

I've been using several newer 3Ah Star batteries in my older non-rechargeable batteries, and they seem to work fine. I've been running star tools under heavy load for a while and haven't had any issues. I don't have any 4Ah batteries to compare them to, but I did try out the new 5Ah in a few of my older non-rechargeable batteries. tools with a star: It goes in without a hitch and appears to work just as well as any other, but I haven't yet put it through its paces in an older tool. When the 4Ah batteries were first released, I inquired about this at a local tool store, and they informed me that I would need to grind down a small piece of plastic under the tool where it goes in, but I have not encountered any issues that necessitate modification with this 5Ah battery. According to my knowledge, the new Star tools and batteries are well matched to work better in order to avoid overheating and other issues. I bought a new dual-battery 7-inch tablet. I recently purchased a 25" circular saw and tried it out on some of my older non-metal items. It kept shutting down after only a few minutes of use, and the batteries became extremely hot. When I replaced them with a pair of Star batteries, everything worked perfectly, indicating that there is a difference between the Star tools and the older batteries.

Is there a battery gauge on these?

I just got mine on the 12th of January, and they do have the battery gauge, but the model is BL1850B. BL1850B- is the new model. 2 I can't think of any other distinctions.

Can I use my three DC18RA chargers to charge these?

Yes, according to the packaging, this battery is compatible with DC24SC, DC18RA, DC18RC, and DC18SE. Chargers for the DC18SF.

These are the BL1850B-type BL1850B-type BL1850B- There are two batteries with charge level indicators on them
5/5

I'm happy to report, as with many other reviews, that I received a genuine Makita BL1850B- The Charge Level Indicators are included with two batteries. br>Like all B series batteries, these have a "Star" molded into the top, indicating that if your Makita tool has the star, you'll be protected from overloading, overheating, and overcharging. Overheating and discharging are two of the most common problems. br>The only other thing worth mentioning is that I recently purchased a new Hammer Driver. Two BL1850B Batteries were included in the Drill/Impact Driver XT268T Combo Kit, which was made in Korea. These batteries, on the other hand, are made in Singapore. They are identical in every other way.

Six
5/5

Seven stars is possible. So these aren't the same as the ones advertised; they're the newer, upgraded versions. I can assure you that I will not be disappointed. I will never complain about a company delivering something better than promised because they charge quickly, hold a charge, and have a good long run time; I will never complain about a company delivering something better than promised because they charge quickly, hold a charge, and have a good long run time. ***update*** I've had these for a while, and I had one in my work truck with the first and only charge since I purchased it. After using the driver's battery for a few months of light use fixing up the rental house, I literally just finished building an entire deck. These are incredible. It does need to be charged right now, but I'm blown away by how long these batteries last. 10 stars.

It just doesn't work! These new batteries have an extra flange that prevents them from being inserted into my Makita power tools, despite looking identical in every other way to my old batteries that fit
3/5

I will have to return them because the seller has not responded after four days.

If you don't charge it below freezing, it's a great battery! Let me begin by saying that I am a huge fan of Makita Brushless Tools and these batteries in particular
5/5

I finally have so many tools that I needed more of these, as well as a second fast dual charger. This gives me 22 batteries to use on my job sites to power my 36V mitre saw, 36V circular saw, router, 6 1/2" circular saw, bandsaw, angle grinder, three different drills, three impact drivers, and a vacuum. These batteries have a lot of power, and I like how the indicator lights show how much power is left. br>Those who use their electric tools in freezing temperatures have a problem with the lithium batteries that are currently in use. They "cannot" be charged when the temperature is below freezing. They can be used in temperatures below zero degrees Fahrenheit, but they must be charged in a temperature above zero degrees Fahrenheit or they will be destroyed! This is something I cannot emphasize strongly enough to anyone who uses this type of battery. "NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER CHARGE THIS BATTERY IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES!" " Charge it by placing it in a warm location. This battery will last for years if you follow this advice, but it will die forever if you do not. When lithium batteries are charged in subfreezing temperatures, the chemical composition of the battery changes, and the battery is destroyed.

Thank you so much! I purchased two of these batteries and have been very happy with them thus far
4/5

This means that when one of the batteries dies, I don't have to wait for it to charge. The one odd thing I've noticed so far is that when the battery runs out, the device simply stops working. I'd take the smaller ones and clamp the trigger to extract as much energy as possible from them? These simply cease to function. br>I've used them in the cold so far, and they've performed admirably. I've been working in temperatures ranging from 28 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and they've performed admirably.

Discharge as soon as possible
3/5

Edit****Good batteries at a good price; 5 AH batteries are the way to go because they last much longer than 4 AH batteries. These are what I use for my k drill, and each battery allows me to punch about 40 holes in a foot of ice. ****Edit*** After 3 or 4 rechargings, they almost immediately discharge. Both are defective, which is most likely why they were discontinued by the manufacturer. The other 5 AH batteries are also functional. Not these, in particular. These*** will undoubtedly be returned in the next edit - My request for a refund was turned down by this seller. This item/seller should be avoided at all costs. Alternatively, you can ignore it and learn the hard way, as I did.

Don't miss out on this two-pack! Because the store where I bought my weedwacker and blower combo didn't have spare batteries, I ordered this two-pack from Amazon
5/5

I ordered these 18v after reading the Amazon reviews and seeing the great deal on a two-pack. I did get the newer style with the battery life indicator, as did many others, and it is the better 5. 0 18v, with which I'm also very pleased. I've used both of them several times and they're great with a long battery life.

On arrival, he was already dead
3/5

The batteries arrived in a box with shipping peanuts, but the product was not a Makita BL 1850-S. BL 1850- The product code 2 refers to a blister pack that contains two batteries. It wasn't either (2) Makita 1850-style or (3) Makita 1850-style or (4) Makita 18 Only two dead batteries were found in a couple of old plastic bags. One battery would charge for a short period of time before rapidly discharging. The other battery was completely depleted and could not be charged. I use jumper wires to get it to a charge level high enough for the charger to recognize it. Both batteries performed as expected for my four-year-old BL 1840 units before discharging to the point where they could no longer be charged. There is an option to pay for shipping and a restocking fee. THANK YOU, BUT NO. It was a good lesson.
