Questions & Answers

Is this true? oah simply refers to a longer duration than the 6 or 3 minutes. Is this battery compatible with all flex volt tools, including the 60 volt grinder?

The voltage would be 60 volts if three 20 volt batteries were connected in series. They would only have 20 volts if they were connected in parallel. However, if you connect them in parallel, you should get more amp hours (plus possibly some wasted energy due to the fact that no two batteries have the same internal resistance). Thus, unless diodes are used to block internal discharge through the weakest, the strongest will discharge internally through the weakest, resulting in a small voltage loss. Putting batteries in parallel may not be a good idea in theory, but it may not be a problem in practice.

Is this going to work with the dcd771c2?

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is what I use for all of my NATIVE 20v devices. It does not, however, work with the DCA1820 adapter kit, which allows you to use 20v batteries to power 18v devices.

What does 9ah stand for?

Dewalt flexvolt batteries are compatible with both 20V and 60V Max Dewalt tools. The 9Ah battery (20V tools) has three times the capacity of a 3Ah battery. When used with 60V Dewalt Max tools, this battery has a capacity of 3Ah. I hope this has been of assistance.

A flex volt 20/60 at 9 ah is what I have. My Dewalt weed trimmer included it. I get about a half-hour of work time on low. doesn't. normal?

On LOW. On HIGH, what do you get in terms of run time? And what about MEDIUM? On LOW, it might switch to 20v, which would equal 20v x 9ah = 180wh, which seems about right. I know that with a 9ah battery, my MW trimmer lasts 30 to 40 minutes, so if you only have one battery and a lot of cutting to do, you'll have to hurry. The tablesaw gets a lot more time from a 9ahbattery than the weedwacker does, despite the fact that it doesn't seem like it should. Perhaps someone can shed some light on this!

Selected User Reviews For DEWALT FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX Battery, 9.0-Ah (DCB609)

Unhappy, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy In the last eight months, I've gone through five of these
3/5

I'm a Framer, and I used to be a Dewalt fan, so I'd say we gave these 60v batteries a fair shot, but I bought two of the 9 ah batteries to use with 7-volt tools. Batteries for the 1/4" skil saw and the reciprocating saw lasted about 2 months at most, and some barely lasted a month, and they all did the same thing: they'd be working fine, then I'd put one in the charger and it wouldn't charge, and Dewalt warranty would always replace them for free, but I'd have to wait a couple weeks to get them, so I finally bit my dewalt pride and switched to Milwaukee, and have had no problems since. I'd say the Dewalt has more power than the Milwaukee, but I'm glad I'm not constantly looking for batteries. Do continue to use 20 volt Dewalt drills in the hopes that the problem will be resolved by Dewalt.

DeWalt 60v Flexvolt batteries are a complete waste of money! BUYING DEWALT POWER TOOLS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! At a Cryogenic Air Separation Plant, I am in charge of heavy maintenance
3/5

We have corded and cordless tools from DeWalt and Milwaukee. Both CORDED and CORDLESS tools work fine; it's the DeWalt CORDLESS tools that I have a problem with. The Flexvolt 20v/60volt 9 is the product in question. 0 Lithium Ion batteries bought in late 2017 are a waste of money! The DCG414 4 cannot be powered by either battery. Grinder with a diameter of 5 to 6 inches. Milwaukee Cordless Tools perform admirably in both the sun and the rain. Milwaukee tools have never failed me when I needed them the most. DEWALT IS NOT A GOOD INVESTMENT!.

Most guys will be fine with a 6Ah FlexVolt battery, but I was fortunate enough to find a 2-cell FlexVolt battery
5/5

pack on . The size of these batteries is enormous. br>br>These 9Ah batteries are nearly impossible to come by in your area - I'm guessing it's because they're too expensive, and most guys will be fine with the 6Ah FlexVolt battery. I got lucky and found a 2-pack of them on Amazon. For $199, you can get a pack on Amazon. When they arrived, I was taken aback by how large they were; I had expected them to be similar in size to the 6Ah, but they weren't. If you're going to use these batteries with a DeWalt tool that requires a lot of power, make sure you charge them first. This battery makes sense for things like installing 100 concrete anchors with your hammer drill. However, if you plan to hang this on your DeWalt impact driver, keep in mind that it will be heavier and bulkier. I just like how surprised other contractors are when they see it and say, "DAMN, that's a big battery. ".

More power means more action
5/5

The batt is incredible. These were purchased to go with my 20 volt blower and trimmer, as well as my 18 volt tools on occasion. For those interested in learning more about the 18v adapter, it has two stubs (or whatever you want to call them) that prevent the battery from being fully inserted. Those two stubs were cut off with a hacksaw, and any sharp edges were filed down. The battery is now perfect for my 18v tools and fits perfectly. I'm not sure if this will void any warranties, but I believe I'll be fine. It's a great battery with a long life span.

After 5 weeks, you should stop working
3/5

5 weeks ago, I bought these. One of the batteries is already dead. It will not charge or even indicate that it is charging in the charger. I know it's not the charger because all of my other batteries charge perfectly. If it lasted longer than 5 weeks, it would be a fantastic product.

Battery capacity is impressive
5/5

I have to admit that these batteries give my 20v lineup a significant boost in power. So far, I've only used them on my 20v weed wacker, and on high, they last about an hour. Even the battery pack remained cool. With the 5, I typically get about 30 minutes. 0ah. Because the load is distributed with 15 internal 18650 batteries in the 20v/60v vs 10 18650 batteries in the 20v 5, I believe it lasted around twice as long. 0ah pack. br>br>I didn't notice the weight when I was using the weed wacker, but they are noticeably heavier. When you hold one of each in your hands, it's easy to notice. They're also wider, which means you won't be able to use the belt clip if you use them in a drill or driver, but I think they're overkill for those tools. The 5. For those, 0ah is more than enough. These will be used in my 20v brushless weed wacker, 20v brushless reciprocating saw, and 20v grinder, among other things. These are also quite tall; you could almost stack three of them together. Stacking 0ah batteries on top of one another. br>br>I like them a lot. The weight of the larger tools is barely noticeable, and the charge appears to last an eternity.
