It can charge a 5 amp, but only at a rate of one amp. With a 25 amp output, charging a dead battery should take about 4 1/2 hours. The output of the dcb112 is 2 amps, while the output of the dcb115 is 4 amps. The dcb118 has a 4 amp output as well, but it comes with a cooling fan. For 2 amp or less, we use the 107 and 112, and for 3, 4, 5, and 6 amp 20 volt (DCB203 to DCB206), we use the 115. To fully charge a 5amp battery from dead, the dcb115 and dcb118 chargers will take about 88 to 89 minutes. Apart from actual flow rate charging, all of these chargers have a warm-up period and an equalizing period at the end of charging that takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Note: For longer life, your batteries should be at least 40 degrees Fahrenheit before charging, but in the winter, we don't always have time to do so. It will be done for you by the charger, but it will take longer to charge. I hope this information is useful to you.
What's the harm in that? It says 12/20v on the label. Until I discovered a reason why it wouldn't, I'd assume it would.
These aren't rated at all; they're rated at 120.

This charger is unique in that it is the newest, lowest-wattage charger available today. Slow charging is essential for extending the life of your battery, as I know from my electrical engineering background. Because it can get hot when charging the big 9, I'm adding a small cooling fan to mine. The battery is a 0 Ah.
I've got two new 20v 6Ah batteries for my DeWalt ATOMIC 4-in-1. Circular saw, half size That's why I bought this DeWalt charger.
I had high hopes for this charger, but it did not work out. The charging light would blink twice before becoming solid once the battery was locked in. I thought I'd leave it plugged in for a while to see if it was just the charging light that wasn't working, but nope, the battery was never charged. The battery had some life left in it, but not nearly enough, which is why I needed the charger. I returned the item to the seller and requested a refund. br>br>Another thing to note is that the invoice included in the charger's box was from a different seller and showed a lower price than what I paid.
It's a shame it didn't last much longer. I was unfamiliar with DeWalt's 20V system, so I purchased it to charge my tools. br>br>Intriguingly, the batteries were so good that I didn't realize this thing wasn't charging them at all until it was too late. I continued to purchase additional tools, as well as batteries to go with them. I didn't pay attention until it was far too late. br>br>So, in conclusion, the tools and batteries are excellent, and you should enthusiastically embrace this new standard system. This charger, on the other hand, carries a significant amount of risk. Others seem to have had success with this, so if you get it, make sure it works right away before the warranty runs out.
I haven't had it long enough to comment on it beyond the fact that it works (what could possibly go wrong with a battery charger?). For what it is, it appears to be very costly. I notice that a drill, battery, and charger cost around $99, but the charger alone costs $40, and the battery costs around the same. Changing batteries appears to be a waste of time. off.
It did everything it was supposed to do, but it has the slowest charging rate I've ever seen for a Dewalt charger. This item does not have any ventilation. It's a hard case with no openings. As a result, if left in the sun, they will overheat. I live in California, where it can get quite hot. It's a low 1, so it's not a good idea. The charge of a 5 Ah battery at 5 volts takes some time.
It is ineffective. When I went to read the instructions that came with it, I discovered that they were for some sort of Bluetooth device. As a result, I don't even have the proper instructions for the item I received. I pity the person who accidentally received my Dewalt instructions via Bluetooth! I intend to return.
These chargers are excellent; I have never had a problem with any of them. br>However, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, consider br>I've always thought they were overpriced, not just Dewalt but also competitor chargers; look at what you got vs. what you paid for it just to be able to buy more of their products, and they seem overpriced to me.
