It is entirely up to you. You can have it both ways. We didn't order batteries because we already have two from other tools. Btw. It's an incredible tool.
This item does not include a charger or a battery, but it does include two different batteries. The first is number two. I'm not sure if 5 MAh will last two hours, but it's worth a shot. A 0 MAh battery would undoubtedly last two hours or longer. It charges in under an hour and a half, and it has a 2. In 90 minutes or less, a 5 MAh battery will be fully charged.
The Bat Pack is held together by a button that must be held in place while the pack is being pulled out. Grasp that button with both hands!
The sweep feature pushes the trimmings out of the way when trimming the top of a flat hedge. It's a removable component that can be easily removed if desired.

I purchased this hedge trimmer because we already own a number of Ryobi products and a number of 40-volt battery packs. This hedge trimmer, unfortunately, requires a different type of battery. My Ryobi batteries aren't going to work. As a result, this hedgetrimmer is completely useless. I knew it didn't come with a rechargeable battery, but I discovered the hard way that Ryobi makes several different batteries, and none of mine work with this. I recently lost my fiance and have yet to file a complaint with the seller because I have other priorities, but I am extremely dissatisfied.
This hedge trimmer is simple to operate and does a fantastic job. I was hesitant to purchase a battery-operated device because they are more difficult to use than gasoline trimmers, but this one works well and is much easier to use. It's as simple as turning on the light switch. There's no need to fill up with gas, prime the engine, or pull the starter, and it's just as effective as a gasoline trimmer. I am ecstatic.
It does a fantastic job. It's especially nice not to have to lug around the bulky cord. The deflector in the center is a nice touch.
With the battery in place, it is well balanced. Since I received it, I've used it almost every day!.
I purchased this on Amazon and requested a refund, which was granted in the form of an Amazon credit. I'm angry because they didn't refund my card. br>br>However, I did purchase it from Home Depot. It's fantastic! Cuts quickly, and the shelf saves time. It's closer to 15 pounds with the battery.
Getting the guard off the blade while trimming shrubs was a little difficult.
My yard equipment is now complete, and all of the batteries are 40 volts. I couldn't wait to put it to use, so I grabbed my fully charged battery and began trimming the hedges I had neglected. It withstood the test of time better than I did! It was very enjoyable for me. The hedge sweep appeared to aid in the removal of the longer trimmings. Even though I didn't have a monster trimmer, I was able to get rid of everything I had.
This was a gift for a friend, and both of us were pleased with it. Not only did it perform as well as an electric model, but the battery life was also impressively long. The purchase was a great success.
