The shears are seriously solid and well built, and the storage case is exceptionally well designed, containing the shears, batteries, charger, and power cord in a neat and organized manner. br>I was pleasantly surprised at the level of quality with this package; the shears are seriously solid and well built, and the storage case is exceptionally well designed, containing the shears, batteries, charger, and power cord in a neat and organized manner. Everything works as advertised if you follow the instructions in the instruction manual. After charging the batteries, turn on the shears and unlock them. They can easily cut through branches up to 3/4" thick, which is why I'm warning you. br>Treat these shears with the same caution you would a chainsaw or other power cutting tool; a finger takes no more effort to cut through than a tree branch, so ALWAYS BE AWARE of where your hands are in relation to the cutting blades. It's easy to get ahead of yourself and begin cutting too quickly in a bush or undergrowth, so make sure your hand is safely distanced from the cutting blades if you're holding the branch being cut! It is an extremely powerful tool that must be treated as such! br>At the end of the day, a quick wipe down AFTER removing the battery will prevent sap and other debris from clogging the blades; then replace the battery and follow the manual's blade locking procedure. br>This is an extremely serious tool that does an excellent job, and with care and caution, it will provide hours of effortless pruning. br>This item deserves a five-star rating! However, exercise caution.
My poor old hands were becoming tired, and pruning larger branches was becoming more difficult; however, this - This is a DOUBLE DOUBLE DOUBLE DOUBLE DOUBLE Extremely sharp, making quick work of tougher branches and those that are a little too big for my pruners. However, it also works on smaller branches, and it takes less than half the time to cut through a bunch of them, and it's a lot of fun to use. I am a Master Gardener and the Vice President of the Garden Club in my neighborhood. I have a lot of plants and a big yard. I spent nearly $100 on a pair of pruning shears - I still adore them, but this is incredible, and everyone in my garden knows about it. It takes some time to get used to, and you must use it with extreme caution. Have fun.
pruner with a voltage of two volts - This is something I'd buy again if I had the opportunity. This Koham Hand Pruner is in perfect working order. I've only had this for over a week and 1600 cuts the first battery to use is 55% charged. It's a little early for me to write a review, but it's so great. I usually get a lot of arthritic pain in my hand after a few hours of using standard pruners, but I've been using this for a week and my hand is fine. There are a lot of brands to choose from, but I really like this one. A lovely storage case was also included. A place to attach a lanyard or the addition of a holster option would be a minor improvement. br>UPDATE IN DECEMBER: The season is coming to an end, and the last of the fruit is ripening. I've completed over 3000 shrub pruning cuts with no problems. This has plenty of power, and I've cut 1" limbs with it. It may take two trigger pulls to get through, so it's not recommended, but it'll get the job done. The batteries are still holding a 7. One batt with 96 volts. full chg. "It's Still Five Stars" should give 1500+ cuts.
These cutters are truly incredible. I was able to easily cut 5/8 branches with a clean cut. Because they are so powerful, you must exercise extra caution when reaching in for a limb and ensure that your other hand is clear. They'd probably take your finger off just as easily. I wouldn't use them if there was a child present. If you're going to put them down, close the blade and turn off the machine. Children are enslaved by power tools. My 78 yr. The fact that they work so well is greatly appreciated by the old hands. In no time, I had trimmed the lower branches of several trees and cut them down to size for the trash can.
These are ideal for people who have arthritic hands. They were well-made and performed admirably. In less than an hour, I pruned 50 roses without experiencing any discomfort. They'll cut down a large rose cane. They include a spare battery. It lasts about two hours, but you can charge them both at the same time so that one is ready if you need it for longer. br>WARNING: Keep a close eye on your hands. They're capable of removing a finger entirely. Remove the battery when not in use and keep them out of reach of children. But they're so good that I'd buy them again.
I bought them because, despite having arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome, I enjoy gardening and pruning. These are extremely beneficial to me. Given that they must hold a battery, they are much lighter than I anticipated. The only issue I have is that they never seem to turn off and on easily on the first try, but I eventually get the hang of it with a little more practice.
First and foremost, the storage case impressed me because everything is foam-padded. slot that is padded The weight was 1 pound, 11 ounces, which was slightly higher than expected. It's 9 ounces with a battery, not 1 pound. The weight is listed as "38 pounds," but it feels evenly distributed near the middle. The switchable "partial closing" function, which allows you to only slightly pull the trigger to get a matching partial blade closing, is not mentioned in the text. This is ideal for precisely aligning a pruning cut. I haven't tried the switchable "partially open" function, which is supposed to reduce or increase the blade's fully open size, but the pruning cuts are quick and clean, the blade appears to be easy to adjust, and we ordered it as a package with an extra blade for a very low price. The little plastic blade oiling bottle didn't come with any oil, so I filled it with pure mineral oil from the drugstore. So far, things are going well, and we'll soon see how much easier this year's orchard pruning is.
The clippers' trigger pulls are counted on a nice led display as they're used. Mine already had 92 trigger pulls from an open box, and I noticed some scratches on the blade. I returned it as new, not used or reconditioned, as I had requested.
