Our entire yard is surrounded by thick, tall, and heavy hedges, which serve as a form of 'fencing. ' As a result, we put our hedge trimmers to a lot of use. br>First and foremost, these trimmers came fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box. Because the box is shaped to fit the trimmers, there is no need to dispose of a large bulky box. They have a nice blade guard, which I like because it prevents you from accidentally cutting open an appendage while reaching around it when they're stored. There are two prongs on the plug. As a result, a three-prong extension cord is not required. br>Pros:
1. Hedge trimmers like these are extremely light. Because our bushes are tall and I don't like holding the heavier gas powered ones over my head or for an extended period of time, this feature makes me prefer these to my gas powered ones. br>2. They're razor-sharp and cut like butter through our thick hedges.
3. They have a nice appearance and are simple to store and use.
4. There's a safety bar, similar to what you'd find on a lawnmower, so if you drop them, they'll stop right away.
Cons:
1. They'll need an extension cord, which you'll have to buy separately. For ease of use, I recommend getting a long one.
2. The cord tends to fall off when you hold the trimmers up higher, unplugging the machine; I recommend using a strip of duct tape to keep the two connected. Overall, these are excellent hedge trimmers, especially for the price, and I would highly recommend them to a friend.

I am a 50-year-old woman who is experiencing the early stages of carpal tunnel syndrome, and I purchased this product based on its reliability and light weight. br>br>When the package arrived, I was taken aback by how light it was! That evening (when it was cooler), I unboxed it, plugged it in, and trimmed the front of the house's Boxwood Hedges and Fire Nandina. I was able to tuck the extension cord end into a small slot in the handle to keep the cords from unplugging, and it stayed in place the entire time, which was very convenient. It is operated with two hands, and each hand-hold has a squeeze trigger that must be engaged in order for the trimmer blades to operate. Making a single pass was simple thanks to the long blade. I was surprised at how simple it was to angle the trimmer for corner rounding and even to point the trimmer straight down to trim the front-end. edges that are facing each other br>br>The two aspects of this product that I find most appealing are:br>1. I found it easy to hold and maneuver because of its light weight.
2. My carpal tunnel symptoms did not worsen as a result of the lack of vibration, nor did it leave my hands and arms tingling for hours. br>br>This is a product that I would strongly recommend!.

In relation to my new number four I am pleased and impressed by the quality of these 8 amp Garcare hedge trimmers; I have lived in my house for six years and have bushes under the windows in the front of the house that have never been trimmed. I had no idea what I needed for this job, nor did I know much about trimmers and their features. I examined a variety of models and styles, some of which were powered by gas and others by electricity. I wasn't sure how much horsepower or torque I'd need for these bushes, but I wanted to make sure it was powerful enough without going overboard, so I went with the 4. 8 amps seemed to be just the right amount of power while remaining light enough for me to handle and use. I also like the rotating handle, which allows me to cut at different angles and reach harder-to-reach places. I've included before and after photos of my bushes to demonstrate just how much I was able to accomplish in just a few minutes. The trimmers are razor sharp and easily cut through my thick bristled shrub, and I appreciate the blade cover for storing and transporting them in my car trunk. I plugged into an outdoor outlet on the house with a short 20 foot extension cord, which made it easy to move around without dragging a long, heavy cord. I did pull the plug from the cord a couple of times before I finished, but it worked great overall. If you're looking for a good household trimmer that is both versatile and affordable, I believe the Garcare 4 is the way to go. Hedge trimmers with an output of 8 amps are available.

The cutting section of the machine was severely bent. However, it straightened out nicely, and I'm not going to worry about it. br>br>It's a little heavier than my previous electric hedger (HF, el cheapo), but it's also a lot more powerful. I wouldn't say that the head and shoulders are more powerful, but the larger branches do have a noticeable difference. It cuts very smoothly, and I have no issues with it in my application. br>br>The switches appear to be in good working order. This will only work if you press two buttons. You can press two on my HF model, but you can also release the safety and it will continue to work. That is not something that the Garcare will do. The safety is turned off when you release it. Yes, it's safer, but it also limits your reach because you have to keep two hands on it at all times. br>br>Because the extension cord is a little short, I like to tie a knot with it to secure the connection. The hedger's cord is literally an inch away from being too short to complete this task. I would have preferred a few more inches on the hedger cord. br>br>Though it appears to last a couple of years, I would not call this unit heavy duty. You can't expect much more from something like this, to be honest. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I bought it because I had a lot of neglected hedges and bushes to trim and was sick of trying to get my old, heavy gas-powered trimmer to work. It's a lot lighter and cleaner to use, and I got a lot of work done with it on the first day. When I'm away from home, I use it with an extension cord as well as a small portable generator.
Pros: Pros: light weight, quick cutting, and quiet operationbr>Cons: So far, there have been none.
