A product called "Fluid Film" is the best lubricant for use with any hedge pruner. It's sold by the can at my local Home Depot - It's an all-natural formula that can be used on shrubs, bushes, and other plants - Remember that whatever you spray on your blades will soak into the plant and cause it to rot - As a result, it must be plant-friendly. I've been using it for at least ten years - There are a plethora of applications for it if you Google it. Cheers

I've been using it for an hour at a time. I was terrified when I cut my cord with my old trimmer. Are you fed up with pre-planned events? Combine two-stroke motors with different mix ratios, smells, and noises. As a result, I purchased this with some trepidation. After using it twice, all I can say is wow, it's truly incredible. I've used it for an hour at a time and the battery hasn't died yet. I didn't even use my ear muffs because it cuts so well and is so quiet. I removed a large number of blackberry bushes that had grown to be over 10 feet tall. With my wheeled string trimmer, it used to take me a few days. This took me 2 hours; I was planning on purchasing the Black and Decker for about half the price, but was concerned about the build quality when I read about it. I just ordered the Ego chainsaw and leaf blower without the batteries because they are interchangeable. The battery charges quickly as well. Unfortunately, my body does not recharge as quickly as it should, and this is one of the few products about which I am truly enthusiastic. Battery technology has progressed to the point where it can compete with other forms of energy while also providing a great deal of convenience. If you're unsure whether or not to buy this product, don't be; it's that good.
Unfortunately, after a few trims, it jammed, and I had to call for assistance. They acknowledged that it needed to be replaced, but they never delivered a replacement. After several calls, the same result was obtained, and the trimmer was not available.
Bomb Brands is not a good seller to buy from. I purchased this new item and only used it a couple of times before it stopped working. This seller is not an EGO authorized seller. I contacted EGO about the defective product, and they informed me that because Bomb Brands is not an authorized seller, they are unable to assist me. Despite the fact that all EGO products are covered by a 5-year warranty, nothing was done. I contacted the seller several times, but they did nothing to resolve the problem with the defective product.
Don't think twice about it; you'll be glad you did. I'm a huge fan of EGO's power tools. I recently received this for my birthday, which includes a hedge trimmer, string trimmer, lawn mower, and blower. They're all fantastic, and if you get three (the lawn mower battery is a good size 4) you'll have a great deal. 0amp. as well as two of the two 5 amps is ideal for me to switch out and get all of the grass mowed, edged, and blown). Ego products are well-made, and the company has a fantastic website with all the information you'll need about the device, as well as a fantastic registration page - I can't say enough good things about EGO's software - All of them are well-designed, with numerous "features" that you'll appreciate when you use them. A LOT BETTER THAN THE B. D is a less expensive brand, but clearly - cheaper. I also adore B. I'd give them a D for their drivers and drills, but not for their garden tools (though I've had their mowers and weed eaters for years). Yes, there's no denying the importance of power. These tools are just as powerful as GAS models, and while I'm sure some HANK HILL types will disagree and love GAS, I believe these tools are just as powerful. These tools are just as good as, if not better than, the ones you're used to, but they're lighter and quieter. Lithium-ion cordless tools have finally made cordless a viable option. kudos.
This cordless trimmer works with the same EGO Lithium power packs as the rest of their products, which is fantastic. Trimming azaleas and boxwood bushes is easy with this trimmer. With the same battery, I was able to spruce up my entire yard. I was fed up with lugging extension cords around and worrying about slicing through one (which has happened). My only gripe is that the battery is attached to the back of the device, which makes it quite heavy. It will be felt strongly in your wrists and forearms. after a few minutes of holding it up Because it's so heavy, I had to set it down every few minutes to rest my arms. To prevent unintentional starting, there is a two-part trigger. The plug-in versions are significantly lighter, but they come with their own set of drawbacks. If you're a homeowner who wants to time your hedges once or twice a year, I think this is ideal. If I ran a landscaping company, I wouldn't want to have to carry this around with the battery every day.
I was impressed with the hedge trimmer for the three times I used it. However, it stopped working when I used it to cut some small bushes. I'm disappointed in this product because I already have a weed eater and a blower that work perfectly. For the warranty, I was advised to contact ego. They then instructed me to take it to Home Depot for repair. I contacted Home Depot, who informed me that they do not repair them but that I could send it to Ego for a $20 fee. This product does not meet my expectations, and I do not recommend it.
I tried an 18V NiCad battery-powered trimmer, but it was ineffective and ran out of juice before I could finish trimming. So, after years of lugging an extension cord around, I decided to give this trimmer with the 56V L-batteries a shot. The battery is lithium-ion. It sliced through the branches of my Podocarpus hedge with ease and continued on without stopping after trimming all of my other hedges. The battery makes the unit heavier, but since you have to use both hands to activate the switches, this isn't an issue.

My wife insisted on getting a trimmer, and since I already had a couple of Ego products, it made sense to combine the batteries (I purchased the trimmer only option). br>This thing cuts through everything I have in the lawn (shrubs, long decorative grasses, woody stemmed bushes). The only thing it can't do is prune a tree. br>I feel stupid for trimming my lawn by hand last year when I had an Ego lawn mower. br>If you need a trimmer and already have Ego products, get this. You will not be sorry.
