A Greenworks Chain saw I purchased in September 2018 is the one I'm using. Kitchen Dazzle , LLC was the selling vendor on Amazon, where I purchased it. Despite purchasing it about four months ago, I have only used it once or twice. As of August 10, 2020, the last time I used it, I had not received any notification. A dead battery prevented the machine from working. It worked fine with another Greenworks battery I had left over from my Greenworks tree trimmer. Both chargers have dead batteries that I tried to replace. Although you would have to pay a fee for it. I was able to charge both batteries without any issues. It's a battery in the chain saw I have from Greenworks, but it's not working. Calling Greenworks in Canada, I got the following message. I must say, though. The battery had a warranty even though it WERE UNABLE TO REGISTER FOR A WARRANTY WITH GREENWORKS. This is what Greenworks said to The vendor "Kitchen Dazzle LLC" that was selling the Greenworks chain saw via Amazon is the one I bought the chain saw from, although I did buy it from This is NOT an authorized retailer of GreenWorks products. It turned out that GREENWORKS would not honour the warranty there. Now that we have cleared that up. The battery on my Greenworks chain saw is defective, so I am unable to use it. We're talking about Greenworks there. WE ARE NOT PERMITTED TO REPLACE, EVEN THOUGH THE WARRANTY IS STILL There is no other option for me than to buy a NEW Battery from Greenworks for 55 dollars. Taxes and delivery fees are included in this price. If you are throwing the Greenworks chain saw away, do so in its entirety. What a crazy thing to happen. Having learned my lesson, I will never make the same mistake again. This will be the case from now on. I always buy things on Amazon. BEFORE I make a decision, I must first find out. There is a waste here as the part that holds the bar is made of plastic! My saw just broke into three pieces, and now I have three pieces and no use for it. In terms of the motor, it ran super, did excellent work, but the parts made from plastic are worthless guess these days people don't like to use metal many places. Please take note! to the greenworks company weeks ago and sent them photos, but they did not respond so be sure to take this into consideration when you check.
The little saw I have at home makes cutting up trees almost enjoyable. I've had dozens of chain saws, and I think it's the best. The saw will be great for clearing brush from trees and cutting the hair off of trees. As a bonus, large logs can also be cut with it. There is enough time for the battery to last long enough to get a sense It is self-oiling, and its tools are easy to use The bar can be adjusted less often, which is a nice feature. There are no fumes or cords to get tangled up like with a gas saw, and it is significantly less noisy than a gas saw. It was not a surprise to me that oil leaks would happen and I do not find it frustrating. By leveling the saw on a piece of corrugated cardboard, I ensure the oil doesn't spill out. As far as cutting is concerned, it works well. There is plenty of power so far, but like any lithium ion battery, when it goes flat, it stops working. There is no warning or very little notice. In my case, I'm not cutting timber for a mill or chopping firewood for winter heating, so when I saw this opportunity for a basic functional chain saw that doesn't require gas mixing or additional gas cans to store, I had to get one.
