Questions & Answers

Does the chain speed seem to be good? Some battery operated saws I've tried have a slow chain speed, which is not like a gas powered ?

I found the chain saw to be quite effective. The aim is not for those who want to cut trees professionally or for those who just want to show Whenever you want one of these chainsaws to start, all you have to do is turn a knob. For those who don't mind that sort of thing, there is no gas to store, no plug to replace, no maintenance. You can buy a gas saw if you work in a lumber camp near Hudson's Bay, drive a large pickup truck because that gets you to your destination sooner than a smaller one, or if you need high speed because you are in a great hurry. In cases where you have 45 minutes of cutting to do now and then, this can prove to be the best choice.

Do you have the option to use the battery from the Ego cordless lawnmower with this chainsaw?)?

It is compatible with all of the EGO batteries. Based on my experience with the 2, I decided to use 3. 5 is the 5th. There are two zeros and sevens in this sentence. I only have 5AH batteries, and all of them work well. Even though the bigger batteries weigh more, I have not had any problems, as their weight is still evenly distributed. A backpack adapter for the chainsaw makes it easier to carry the battery on your back, which enables you to work longer without tiring your arms out.

How well would this detailing saw perform when carving with a chainsaw? It sounds like it may be a little heavy. ?

Chainsaw carvings have been accomplished with this chainsaw quite a bit. With this tool, we do not believe you'll be disappointed.

The second one is true. A battery with a capacity of 0 Ah should be I'm not sure if I should get the 2 or not. ?

The two I have are With a voltage of 0 ah and a current of My eGo lawnmower has a battery capacity of 5 ah. The 2 is the one I would choose. Noeah, unless you are operating away from a 240 volt source of power where the battery may be readily recharged. The time on a charge is between 45 and 1 hour but not more than that It is the user's responsibility to ensure the chain lubricant is always fully topped up before You can use 30 weight engine oil (new) as an alternative if you don't have chainsaw bar oil. The chains move at 45 mph in a linear motion, which causes a lot of friction if they are not properly lubricated, which causes shorter chain life and shorter battery life.

Keep your chain oiler out of your chain
4/5

A good saw that runs and cuts, but use the chain oiler carefully to preserve your chain. It didn't work at all for me. In order to save myself the headache of replacing the saw, I took a look inside. There is a small plastic tube attached to its outlet where oil is received from the tank. As a result of the twists and kinks in the tube, neither oil nor compressed air could pass through. In order to remove the kink, I simply removed the tank screws and rotated the tank 360 degrees - it was that easy. As a result, the chain and the bar are coated in a nice film of oil while running, and the chain is sprayed nicely as it is being cut. Please note

There is no way to tell how many other saws are being assembled incorrectly as mine was, as it is an assembly problem, not an engineering problem. Due to the fact that this saw may be sold to people who may not have much chainsaw experience, they might not notice that the oiler doesn't work. It is easy for the chain and bar to overheat and won't last if they aren't lubricated so be careful.

Dead on arrival
3/5

The battery has been fully charged. Added a bar and a tube to the reservoir This oil is for chain links. As I started to make the first cut, the saw ran for a few seconds and then died, so I re-cut The battery has been seated, and the chain brake has been checked. A defect in the saw prevents it from running properly. As of this writing, I have not given it a one-star rating because it seems to be very well-constructed. Upon evaluating the new saw I will update this review. I ordered a replacement and I intend to update it once I have tried it out. I will say this for now In terms of returns, Amazon is good, however simply paying for return shipping is not sufficient. In the case of this saw, the package was very poorly packed. That is understandable when a product fails or was declared DOA within a short time. In an oversized box with a bit of craft paper stuffed inside, the package was packaged for protection. Upon receiving the package, we discovered it was free to move around and the box was in the process of being ripped open. I had to assemble my own packing materials, use my tape, and most importantly, use a postage meter to return the device. My time. I estimate that takes me unpacking the saw, the battery, and the Taking the instructions seriously The battery is being charged The addition of a bar and a drop-down menu The oil used in chain chains Making the most of it The first thing to do after it fails is to contact Amazon The insert will be printed the boxes will be repacked in the factory In the Amazon box, you pack the factory A secure seal must be achieved by taping it up It took about one hour to receive the order, place it out for delivery, and then contact Amazon the next day to confirm when UPS was coming to pick it up (we didn't get any notice). I will be here for about one hour and a half There is no way I'll be able to make up those 1/2 hours. According to me, Amazon and/or the manufacturer should do something to compensate customers who suffer loss because of such a circumstance. shouldn't have to waste our time as a result of a manufacturer wanting to save a few bucks by manufacturing a product overseas in a factory that has little to no quality control. A product like this can't arrive DOA for any reason. When do these saws leave the factory? Are they even tested? I will quote from my reply to EGO in the comment section below. Due to the fact that many potential buyers do not read the comments, I posted them I received the replacement saw today and it seems to be functioning properly. The bar and the brackets have been added After applying chain oil to the saw, inserting the fully charged battery, and making two cuts, the chain became slippery. White pine trees about 10" in diameter that have been dead for a couple of I have no way of knowing how much of the battery capacity was used because the saw performed well, but dry pine is not a difficult test.

There is no indication of the amount of remaining power or of the state of charge (other than the green LED). I'll have to write an update on my review after I've used the saw until there is no current left on the battery. * The Oregon bars and chains seem to be of great It cut well, as one would expect with a new chain. Chain tension was properly set (just like first saw tension), according to the owner. The weight of this chainsaw is about the same as that of my 1985 vintage Stihl gas chain saw. With the smallest capacity 2A battery, that's the best you can do. Observation I have noticed that with both saws, the motor begins to run after the trigger/switch is pulled, but the motor does not begin running immediately. The intent behind that is unclear to me. This is a _product_ review, and not a packaging review, but those concerned should note that the packaging for the EGO saw (and that of the defective saw as well) was excellent, while that for the Amazon saw was less impressive. There was a small amount of craft paper stuffed beside the factory box, and it was put inside an Amazon box that was far too large. The factory boxes in both cases slid around freely and were slammed into the interior of the Amazon boxes. Despite having only two (2) pieces of packing tape running lengthwise in both cases, the Amazon boxes had the same number of pieces. The bottom one is on the bottom, the top one is on the An extended warranty of five years is good, and is well worth the money. Purchase of a 5 year extended warranty (a practice I never recommend. If you bet against the house) for a tool like this, it would cost a lot. I believe that it's better to purchase a product with a shorter warranty and never have to replace it than one with a lifetime warranty that frequently fails. After reading some reviews prior to buying the EGO saw, I expect to have a difficult time using it. Having no limitations. It would be nice if I didn't have to put the warranty to the test for a while. I will update once I have had the chance to cut some harder wood and know how long it will run. *UPDATE* It has been a chance to use the saw more extensively. 2 is the supplied version. In my experience, the 0 Ah battery stores enough energy to cut a few trees with one go. For example, I cut about 13 trees with a 7" to 9" diameter before the battery completely Clearly, that is enough space to do a bit of tree trimming and cleanup I've got some up in my suburban yard, but it's not enough to put it to
Our house is built on 15 mostly wooded acres and we heat it with a wood stove. I am used to working with a small saw from Stihl. Without talking about how long it takes the EGO to run, I have to admit it cannot come close. I had expected it not to, but in practice, a person would need at least three (2) 12 volt batteries to run the EGO saw about continuously. There are 0 or 2 possible answers. Batteries with a capacity of 5 Ah and I shall give you an overview of Batteries with 0 Ah take 35 to 40 minutes to recharge The timer ran for forty minutes. For charging As a result, when battery #1 is placed in charger #1, battery #2 is in use. Battery #3 is used when Battery #2 is discharged in charger #2 and placed in charger #2. At that point, I hope #1 will have been recharged by the time #3 is depleted. We're going that way anyway, so this is what we will do. According to CVE, it makes more sense to buy the 2 on its own rather than as a kit with other EGO tools. There are 0 or 2 possible answers. You may want to consider purchasing a single 5 Ah battery and charger instead of buying two batteries and a I have seen the basic charger listed for $39, and the 2. I haven't found the 2-pack listed for less. The cost of batteries with a capacity of 0 Ah is $129 each. In other words, that's In contrast, if you bought a hedge trimmer with battery and charger you would spend more money At a big box store, I bought a leaf blower kit for $179 and a charger for $149 ($328 total for them both). For an additional $30, you get both tools and an extra charger.

It takes Old Goat a long time to find This is excellent
5/5

I am ninety-one years old For instance, I live in the woods and I have been using seven or eight chain saws, but they will not start. Getting back in the woods is now quick and easy thanks to the 14 inch saw! What a great idea! The contributions of John.

Powered by electric motor, this chainsaw is quiet and powerful
4/5

In addition to my existing corded 16" electric chain saw, I bought the EGO about a month ago to use in remote areas that are far from reach even with an extension cord. I have been pleased with the performance and ease of use The power it provided was sufficient for cutting back trees, some as large as five feet My work included cutting brush up to 6 inches in diameter as well as honeysuckle brush all along a fence line.
Even without the battery, the saw was heavier than I would have thought, but it is well balanced and is comfortable to hold. The saw did not run out of battery during an afternoon's work even though I did not use it continually. Earlier the course I had gathered and stacked downed wood and brush, I had placed it on the charger so that it would stay charged. There is a charger unit for the saw along with a battery of 2 Ah. About 30 minutes was required to charge the device initially. Depending on the performance of the chainsaw, I plan to purchase several additional EGO yard tools and one more battery, probably a 2 volt. Five AA batteries. I liked the fact that the saw cut everything I needed it to cut. Instead of having to worry about an extension cord like I do with my corded saw, I just used my cordless A gasoline-powered saw can be difficult to start or loud to run, but this blade starts easily and runs fairly In addition, no special fuel mix is required, nor is breathing the fumes required. When you push the button and hold the trigger, it runs. * The only con is that, compared to my corded saw, the EGO uses bar and chain oil rather quickly. The chain usually came loose from the bar in a few instances while I was cutting at a funny angle and a branch put occurred after the saw had been running for some time. It was easy to tighten the chain on the bar and get it back on. In order to keep my chain tension correct, I now check the chain tension more frequently while running the saw hard. As the chain gets warmer, the chain will loosen up. Irrespective of ethnicity My overall experience with the EGO chainsaw was satisfactory, and I would recommend it.

A leaking oil pan and a chain that keeps coming off make this a below average product
3/5

As stated in an update on 6/4/21, I saw this repair for the chain coming off and it seems to work pretty well. The piece of plastic shim that I cut off was jammed into the wheel for tightening Using a pair of pliers, tighten the side cover knob. I cut a bunch of pine and the chain did not come You might be able to prevent oil leaks if you store it on its side - There are also leaks when oil is stored, and the chain keeps breaking, as someone else has written. Gas chainsaws have been a staple in my garage for 40 years, and this one works great for yard work and trimming. I was able to remove a couple of manzanita trees and quite a few small pine trees. Even when the cabin is tensioned and the locks are locked down, it always comes loose and comes off. Fortunately, it is easy to put it back on after that. Ensure that you store it on cardboard or similar as it leaks oil continuously.
