Questions & Answers

Is there anything that stands out between the two? With the saw, do you use 5ah and 5ah batteries?

The number 5 has the same impact as the number 2. 5 or 2. However, neither of them will last as long as a 5ah battery.

Is the ego chainsaw really twice as good as the greenworks 16 in 40v, for example, at twice the price?

I'm the proud owner of a Greenworks PRO 18-inch flatbed scanner. My 16-inch 80V Cordless Chainsaw is nothing compared to my 16-inch 80V Cordless Chainsaw. Ego 56 inches chainsaw with 12 volts Although the greenworks has a higher voltage, it only has a 2. The Ego saw can run on a 0 AH battery, whereas the Ego saw can run on a 7. Battery capacity of 5 AH Both of them are mine. 0 and 5. Greenworks batteries have a much shorter cutting time than 0 AH batteries. The greenworks saw, on the other hand, comes with an 18-inch blade. When cutting an 18-inch hardwood log with a 12-inch bar, there are only a few cuts - This is most likely why all of their advertisements feature small diameter wood. Furthermore, the Ego saws' larger and heavier batteries provide more power as well as significantly longer cutting times. Look up customer reviews on the internet. The 16th Ego The inch saw, like their weed-eaters, is a serious piece of machinery. Eaters and lawnmowers are two things that come to mind when thinking of lawnmowers.

Which Oregon chain would be appropriate for the 16-inch bar?

Hi Isaac! Only the EGO replacement chain saw chain (model AC1600) is recommended for use with the EGO POWER 16-inch chain saw. inch Chain Saw (Models CS1600). OREGON® manufactures the replacement chain, which is part of the company's Micro-Systems. Narrow Lite – System for kerf cutting.

Why aren't the battery(s) and charger options available?

If you look around, you will almost always find an option. There are three E-mail addresses I have. I didn't need any extra batteries for my Go products, so I bought one without and two with.

This is a woodcutter's beast, but if it's tightened too much, it'll start throwing chain
5/5

This Ego saw moves a little more slowly than my Stihl 028. However, serious woodcutters will appreciate its power. In fact, it's incredible for a cordless saw. A 5ah battery lasts a long time. br>With no noise and no fumes, this is a must-have for campers and homeowners with neighbors, particularly those who work the night shift. This saw can cut logs up to 16 inches in diameter with ease. br>When I first got my Ego saw, I tightened the chain too much and it came loose. After a while of using it, I've found that leaving the chain a little looser helps it stay on even when cutting small limbs as long as the cuts are perpendicular. I'm not sure if the rakers were too low on the new chains, causing the teeth to grab and pull it off, or if they were too tight. The chain now only comes off once in a while. br>At the rate I'm going, I'll be using this saw to cut the majority of my wood for next winter. Although not as powerful as a Stihl or Husky, it is more than capable of handling some difficult tasks, such as felling trees up to 20 inches in diameter by experienced tree cutters. br>Watch me cut a 16-inch dry, old white oak log in the video below - This wood is extremely tough and durable! It was brushed aside by the Ego.

I had been waiting for the 16" model chain saw to go on sale for a year, but my patience finally gave way
5/5

Last week, when the price of a 14" saw dropped, I decided to "settle" for it. I've been using EGO products for the past 5 years, so I'm familiar with their quality and functionality. Expecting nothing less from this item, I removed it from the box, filled it with oil, installed a new battery, and got to work. I had a few large (tens of thousands of dollars) This saw was used to fell, trim, and buck 12") pines that had been damaged in a storm. It was handled very well. Due to the fact that I don't use my two huskies very often, I'll be selling them. For the past 40 years, I've had a chain saw. During that time, I've seen technology and the power of batteries evolve into my go-to tools. The best is made by EGO!.

The chain keeps falling off
3/5

The chain is slipping off all of the time. I'm a top-tier technician with a lot of experience with chainsaws. I keep an eye on the chain to make sure it's secure. The chain will and does come off unless you are cutting perfectly straight at the saw's base. Furthermore, it consumes far too much oil. Very let down. The EGO Leaf Blower and Trimmer are excellent, but this chainsaw is a disaster.

Keep an eye out for reviews claiming that the chain is falling apart

a faulty product or a lack of quality control I really wanted to like this product because I needed to cut down two trees and I already have three chainsaws, two electric and one gas. I wanted the convenience of a gas chainsaw without the frustration. br>I own an EGO lawn mower, which I adore. As a result, I assumed this was a foregone conclusion. br>br>Cutting: br>br>The Goodbr> When it's working, this thing cuts nearly as well as a gas chainsaw. It's a lot faster than my 16" chainsaw with a plug in. br>Battery Life: Based on my experience with the EGO lawn mower, even at 4 years old, my battery lasts a long time. I was never able to get this chainsaw to run long enough to drain the battery. The Drawbacks: br>br> br>First, on the third cut, the chain began to fall off, and I started with branches that were only about 1-inch in diameter. The diameter is 2 inches. I tried a variety of chain tensions, both loose and tight, but nothing worked. This is where the product was hazardous; the chain would invariably break at the most inopportune time. I poured over the owner's manual after about the 20th time falling off, and the only indication that something was wrong with my chainsaw was a drawing showing how to install the chain. The sprocket in the drawing was covered by a washer and clip. Mine didn't work out. br>So I went out to where the chain first fell off, and sure enough, there was a washer and an e-clip there. clip it to the ground I'm guessing the E clip was not properly installed at the factory and came loose. br>After installing the washer and E clip, the chainsaw began to cut again, and this time the chain stayed on; I was ecstatic! Finally: br>br>Finally: br>br>Finally: br>br>Fin I got to work now that I'd figured out how to cut it without the chain falling off. Except that after about 20 cuts, the chainsaw came to a halt. When I tried to turn the motor, it would turn about a quarter turn and then stop and hum. I figured it was either the saw or the battery that was overheating. My lawn mower started right up after I inserted the battery. I let the saw cool overnight, then reinstalled the batter the next morning, but the motor still wouldn't turn. br>br>I was done after dealing with all of this annoyance. I would have bought another gas chainsaw if I wanted this many problems with it. I'm guessing that when the product is built correctly, it works fine, but that there must be some seriously lax quality control measures in place to allow problems like this to occur almost immediately after the first use. br>I'm returning this item and will look for a replacement.
