However, it will run just fine on 40 That is the recommendation of the engine manufacturer The following are the tools I run In the past, I have run all of mine on 30 without issue. A reputable small engine mechanic told me this once There is a chance that the engine will receive better lubrication and will last longer. The worst that could happen is that a slight hole could appear in the engine.
As far as I'm concerned, I haven't had any problems.
I use it and it doesn't leak oil when I use it, but when I put it back in its case it leaks. The only thing I don't like about it is that.
As part of the package is a case for the s165. They are similar in every other way

The small tractor burned through about 6 tanks of gas today as I cleared trees that were blown over during It will never stop under load and will never give you problems if you use it properly. With the electric saw I was able to do a job that would've taken me days with a hand saw in just a few hours. From 1" limbs to trunks I was over a foot tall and had Having looked at the construction quality, I see no issues. Craftsman tools certainly aren't as good as they used to be when we were stealing our dad's tools, but the quality is certainly not bad by any means.
Rumor has it that the real problem has just begun. Choke or not, prime or no prime it doesn't matter for it to start. Let it cool down for a while and you'll get an absolute nightmare. Strokes are my favorite, but this ain't my cup of tea. It appears the fuel draw is quite weak and it takes quite a bit of priming to start. I suspect the auto choke is the problem. Soon, I will tear the system down to see how it functions. I will let you know what I find. I recommend the Husqvarna for the time being over the Stihl. As of when I wrote this review, the price was less than $20.
A saw for my cabin was in order, and I was satisfied with the reviews for The saw has worked very well for me and I have several hours of clearing small trees left. Since this is Oregon, the trees get big here, and the saw has worked well for me. Although I had read that this saw might be hard to start, there are quite detailed instructions on priming, choke, and number of pulls to follow, and after I put fuel and bar oil in it, it was on and off to work in no time. It runs on quite a bit of fuel, but I need a break before it runs dry, and the chain is well sharpened right It's a power thing that gets its 4 out of 5 stars. As long as I let my saw do its work, that's not a problem but if I try to speed up the process a bit, it will bog down or bind up, whereas when I use proper cutting technique, it runs very smoothly. The reason I buy that thing isn't why I bought it. Instead, this goes in my Good Purchase category.
As this was my first chainsaw, I was a bit nervous about it. Our backyard tree had become overgrown and we decided to have a few small trees removed. I followed the instructions very clearly and with ease. I had no trouble using the saw whenever I needed it. This product is neither too heavy nor to heavy to use for a long.
This item was purchased for a Vietnam veteran relative who is completely enamored with He has been living in that house for many decades - a chainsaw torn apart by the elements My apologies, I forget the brand except it was from a small company out of business in the Midwest He finally gave up the ghost. The one he has now will be sufficient for him until he no longer needs it.
Click here to read the latest update! My purchase was because I read many reviews here and elsewhere that stated the engine was United States. When I was using my last saw, it was made overseas, and even though it ran and cut well enough, the chain would not stay tight. Receiving the saw, unpacking it, and putting 40 blades in it I primed the bulb five times, choked it, pulled on it twice, then primed it three more times and it fired right up. I used 1 true fuel, sae 30 oil for the bar/chain, and priming. Over a period of three minutes, I varied the rpm It should break in for four minutes, and then sit and idle for a couple of minutes after that. I am pleased with the performance of the saw. It appears to have good torque and throttle response. It runs like a dream, and while the chain is not as sharp as it could be, it cuts well nonetheless. As well, it is easy to access the air filter for service. It's only a matter of time before I can tell whether or not it'll last me. A 30-foot or so tall oak tree, with a diameter of 10 inches at its base, was dropped and cut off the top and ends in 18-inch pieces. When compared with my previous saw, I found this one to be a bit heavy. The drawback might be strong for someone who uses a saw every day, but they don't buy the Craftsman brand either, instead they prefer Echo and Sthil. I do not see the weight addition as an issue for the purposes I am using it for As long as the saw continues to perform at the same level as it has so far, it should cause no problems. I purchased a decent saw for a decent price. We will update the review if for any reason our opinion changes. * Updated 8/16/21* Unfortunately, it turns out that this chainsaw is as big as any other similar to this price point on the market. The product has been used a few times since the original review, and I realized it was a waste of money. Especially on the easiest cuts, it is nearly impossible to get our chains to stay tight. You might get one or two cuts done before you need to rethread them You will have to wait until things cool down again before you can fix it and get back to work if you don't tighten it or it will come loose and eventually come off, and then it will be so hot you won't be able to fix it. In the past year, I have worked on this saw far more often than I have worked I'm not a big fan of this, since it's not a shop vacuum. In my opinion, it only gets two stars because it starts and runs. There is, however, an end to it all. Folks, spend more on a good saw and you'll get a much better The materials required for the manufacture of these cheaper saws aren't worth the savings they provide. Oh, and the oiler leaks bar oil when not in use because it is oversized. Ensure to drain it after each use (once you tighten the chain), or it may drain by.
It was a gift my father bought for me a long time ago. The next day, when we returned, all the bar oil previously residing in the saw had been sucked up into the case. I finally got it on Thursday and he put it away the next day with the intention of using it that day, but when we returned, it was gone. Although it was a good saw, it had a large.
In addition, A pine tree I plan to cut down measures about 20" in diameter at the point of cutting. Additionally, a mulberry tree has been cut down. I got the job done with this saw. Making a cross cut is the subject of a video I uploaded. The saw will occasionally bog down, as seen in this video. You can still cut if you do not put pressure, it will just ramp back up, and the teeth will grab on and do the cutting for you. It's been easier to stack the trees since I've cut them up. When it comes to chainsaws, I probably would opt for a STIHL if I were going to use it a lot. However, this chainsaw works just as well around the.
My faith in Craftsman products has been renewed as a result of using this chainsaw. Recently, I decided to purchase a Craftsman table saw because of my satisfaction with both quality and performance. In addition to cutting continuously for several hours at a time, I have used this chainsaw extensively. My list of trees and branches to remove and trim has almost run out.
