There is a high level of consistency in the quality. Salmon is usually sliced into 8 ounce pieces, so that when I grill them I can get more of that cedar smoked flavor all over With the right amount of place, I can fit 4 pieces at a time with a little area for runoff of mustard and brown sugar to gather. So, you can keep your grill cleaner. It never fails to burn for me as I soak the planks for at least 4 hours. They get nice and charred resulting in Reuse is not an option for me.
