I tried using them on a charcoal grill, but they were destroyed.
I used them in the oven after soaking them in water for a couple of hours. The fish was incredibly juicy and tender when it came out of the oven. it's fantastic So far, they've only been used in the oven.

It's a lot less than it says on the tin. Unfortunately, it did not turn out to be as advertised. It's a lot less than it says on the tin. 6 x 13 inches was advertised on the box. br>The actual size of this item is 5 inches wide by 5 inches tall by 5 inches wide by 5 inches tall by 5 x 11. 5 inches. br>I'm sure they're fine, but I chose them because they were bigger. br>Unfortunately, this isn't the case.
Each plank was 6 inches by 13 inches, according to the description. The planks I got were 5 1/2 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches long. I was disappointed because it was much smaller than I had anticipated. I intend to hand them back to you.
After reading and watching some very promising recipes, I decided to give the planking method a try. br>I was skeptical, and I was correct, because only a few woods can make a difference when it comes to smoking, and these cedar planks make a difference in making your seafood taste and smell like cat's pee. The only thing that came out right on these cedar planks was the Briè cheese, which was phenomenal, but forget about lobster; for salmon, I had better results with a few wood chips of mesquite; one of the main issues is that with this method, you must cook for a very long time before reaching at least 151 degrees of internal temperature, and with a longer cooking time comes a longer smoking time, which with these planks results in cat's pee flavor (my seafoam br>I'll continue to use traditional chips and a 360-degree even cooking method; don't waste your money or time.
I ordered an 8-pack of Alder grilling planks, but when I removed the outer wrap to use one of them, I discovered that the package only contained four Alder planks and four cedar planks. There is no mention of the planks being mixed in the description.
I bought these because I couldn't find Alder wood panks in my area for salmon. They're fantastic, and the instructions are simple to follow. For years, I've used Cedar planks, but Alder wood is unquestionably superior. It arrived quickly and at a reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys grilling.
Aside from that, there are issues. They work well if you follow the instructions, but the planks occasionally caught fire and could not be extinguished with the spray bottle as instructed.
br>Had to sand the rough edges to keep my fingers from getting splinters. However, after a few uses, the plank proved to be superior to the original and did not need to be discarded if not placed directly over the grill fire.
These planks were purchased to grill salmon and other seafood. I soak them in water for about 2 hours before using them. So far, the food I've cooked on the grill has been delicious!.
