Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this with the newer 22-inch kettle?

Yes, I'm in. It can accommodate all 22 people. Kettle grill, 5 inch diameter Excellent for Weber, Char Broil, Kingsford, and Jumbo Joe grills, as well as WSM and other 22 grills. Kettle Grill with an inch diameter

So, what does it mean to be "Upgraded"?

I'm Zorro, and I'd like to say hello. As you can see in the photos, we've improved the design. The Upgraded Version is intended to provide a more secure fit and better temperature control. We include a component that secures the kettle rotisserie on the grill and prevents heat loss.

Aside from aesthetics, what are the advantages of stainless steel?

Well, I would say corrosion resistance, but the Stainless model I purchased is semi magnetic, which indicates that it is a low grade of stainless, and the appearance isn't all that either, it appears shiny on the listing but is actually a coarse brushed finish, so I would save my money and get the black one instead, which is easier to clean. On my 18, I have a Cajun Bandit rotisserie. There is no comparison in terms of quality between the 5" kettle and the 5" kettle.

Is the spit from the motor still an issue? In terms of design?

To get the spit out of the motor, the bushing that came with it had a flange on the end, which would have to be pushed over the edge of the notch in the ring. Even if you already have a spit bushing without the flange, the rest of the package is such a good deal that I wouldn't worry about paying extra for a flanged bushing.

I'm not sure why I didn't get one sooner
5/5

I made the most incredible rotisserie chicken with no effort at all. This kit has a powerful motor. The chicken I cooked on it weighed about 7 pounds, and the motor's action was extremely smooth. However, because of the temperature on the grill's metal skin, I was unable to see the back of the grill, where the motor was mounted, and the power cable became stuck to the side of the grill. There were no damaged conductors after my inspection. The insulation was the only part of the structure that was completely destroyed. The problem was solved with the use of gorilla tape. I'll be more cautious about how I route the cable next time. It was easy to set up. Stainless steel is the material used. I left it outside in the rain for several days and after a few weeks, there is still no rust on it; I'm glad I bought it, and I believe the price is reasonable. It's one of those books that I can't say enough good things about. I own the.

It's a perfect fit for my Weber charcoal grill
5/5

It's a perfect fit for my old Weber - both the top and the bottom I went ahead and bought the 'updated' version. The bottom lip of the grill is perfectly shaped to sit on and hang out over the Weber rolled edge. The lid fits perfectly on the rolled edge of the top, which is also rolled. They don't tell you this: br>br>Here's what they don't tell you: When I pressed my finger against the spit to see how strong the motor was (I'm an old Iowan - We do stuff like this. ) But guess what? The motor came to a halt for a brief moment before reversing directions! So, simply'stalling' out the spit for a second and allowing the motor to reset itself allows you to change rotation direction. The motor is also whisper quiet, as others have mentioned. br>br>I'm looking forward to many more years of rotisserie cooking. This is a fantastic Weber charcoal grill accessory.

Weber's is more expensive and poorly constructed
5/5

On a Weber Kettle/Performer, this is fantastic. br>After doing some research, I discovered that the Weber version had some issues with a 1/4-inch gap. There is a 1/2" gap around the lip of the kettle, indicating that there will be issues with temperature and fuel burn. Weber acknowledges the discrepancy, stating that their rotisserie rings are held in place by tabs. There is no air leakage with this product because the lips mate. The motor is well-made, sturdy, quiet, and powerful, with a counterweight (which I don't believe is necessary). Forks are not included. I went with stainless steel, but you could save $20 by going with black steel (which may not last as long). br>My only gripe is that tightening the counterbalance with the thumb screw is a pain. You'll definitely need pliers for this, and don't be gentle. I believe this is due to a design flaw; the counterbalance unit would have worked much better if it had a square rod instead of a round rod. It's possible you won't use it; I read in another review that someone didn't use it and the motor was still running after 5 years (counterweights are supposed to even out the motion so the motor isn't overworked). br>Apart from that, it's a fantastic kettle accessory that I'd recommend for all your rotisserie proteins.

I'm glad I waited, but I'm also glad I didn't rush
5/5

But you: Don't put it off. I waited because the only grill rotisserie attachment available at the time was Weber's, and I thought it was too expensive- In addition, a number of reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with the grill and lid seals. This gadget is a lot less expensive, and I really enjoy it. It's well-designed and performs admirably. The first two times I used it, I got perfectly cooked whole chicken that was extremely moist, but there's a catch: You're asking for trouble if you don't ***brine*** chicken before grilling it over charcoal, whether whole or cut into pieces. I brined the first three (three, three, three, three, three, three, three, three For two hours, cook a 5-pound) chicken-- and it was fantastic. I only had time for a one-hour brine for the second, but it turned out well. However, it was not as good (moist) as the first time. br>Could this device be improved? Sure. And I'm sure they'll make minor tweaks in the future, but for now, it's fantastic. It has a good foundation. It is extremely well sealed to the Weber grill. The engine is extremely quiet. It's not like it's a big deal, is it? The central spit is sturdy, and the hardware for holding the food on it is well-designed. The handle does not get hot to the touch. Is it a long-lasting product? Will the engine be able to keep up with the demands? Who knows what will happen. This, in my opinion, should last for quite a while. After a few weeks, it's difficult to say. But, right out of the box, this is quite impressive, and at a very, very reasonable price. br>And keep in mind: Brining your chicken before grilling is a must. br>Follow up with: br> It's been nine months since I've had this. I think I've used it three times per month on average. The bottom line:
- The hens continue to emerge. "Wow, dear, this is really good!" would be a good example. " flawless. br> - It wasn't up to the task of handling the turkey for Thanksgiving: The weight is 24 pounds. Maybe if I played around with it a little more and got the balance just right. However, it did not appear that it was worthwhile. However: the ring of the rotisserie? It's never been easier to grill a turkey. Exceptionally nice!br> - Nothing is broken, rusted, or malfunctioning in any way, and the motor is still in good working order. This is a fantastic addition to a fantastic grill. My hat is off to you, and I'm blown away!.

Although it is inexpensive, it is made of stainless steel and appears to have a good motor
3/5

For starters, it's made in China and shipped over, so the box it comes in isn't suitable for ground shipping because the cardboard is cheap and designed for pallets or large containers. My box had a large hole in the side, but everything appeared to be inside and there was no damage. br>br>And now for the review. They claim that this fits snugly, but it doesn't; the bottom fits snugly on the kettle's base, but the kettle lid has a terrible lip, as you can see in the photos I've uploaded. My recommendation to the company is to fan the top out more so that the lids fit better. br>br>The motor itself appears to be sturdy and well-balanced. The stainless steel rod and forks appear to be sturdy and attractive, but I'm concerned about how poorly the lid fits on the top right now. The only way to know for sure is to wait and see. br>br>I have a Weber kettle that measures 22 inches in diameter.
