It's my fault for not reading the description thoroughly, but I assumed this would be a heavy-gauge steel lid, rather than an aluminum lid of such light weight and thin appearance. I have a 28" Blackstone with a cover that has about 1/2" of play around all sides, so when it sounds in the wind, it rattles incredibly loudly. However, so far, I haven't had a problem with it coming off. I would imagine in high winds, it could. In addition to the poor welded appearance, the rear grease trap causes the lid to sit at an angle when the stove is set up behind the griddle, so that when the handle is being used it becomes blazingly hot. In order to solve my handle issue, I intend to modify my grease trap with a tray with a lower back depth, which should allow the cover to sit upright and prevent the handle from slipping For 80 bucks, I shouldn't necessarily have to modify it in order for it to work. I could drill the rear corners and bolt it straight to the griddle to allow the lid to swing up and down. The short version of this is that it's not terrible, but it's far from perfect. If the price point was around 44, this would be perfect. We should have 99 points instead of 79 points. In my discretion, I would recommend this product at $99, but not at current prices.
This is a solid lid for the price, since blackstone does not make a hinged lid for the 28". The lid will keep bugs off your griddle and keep the griddle clean. It is a tight fit around the sides and fits correctly over the grease tray on the.
Light is what it is. As far as cost is concerned, it is cheap. When you have the rear grease catcher on the hanger, things get a little crazy. I will attempt to make it My only desire was to have The rain never ponded on top of the griddle because I put the outdoor cover on top of it and covered it with the outdoor cover. Furthermore, I am not bothered by hanging the griddle off the back. No, that will only suck up the heat to cook and, no, it will make the food as hot as hell. Yes, of course. Taking it off, I set it on the patio with the griddle against it and it's That is what it is, and that is what it does, and I am fine The price might be a little hefty. Blackstone has nothing to do with that. I find it to be effective. It would have been four stars if it had been The 95th birthday! Although I disagree with the guy who said it might be good for hinges, I agree it might be good for framing. If you're still close enough, then you can transfer heat.
I think the cover is overpriced for what it is, thin aluminum, but it does the job it is supposed to do. With the hooks that come with the grill, it can be hung from the back. While using the griddle, it acts as a good heat shield to keep the side of my camper protected from the heat. Usually I keep it between 12" and 18" away, however, any extra heat protection is beneficial.
The fit is perfect. The quality is good. It is a great price, just for the materials we would be spending the same price to make our own.
We tried the canvas type with tent pole, and did not like it from the start,,, and the blackstone cover was too expensive for us. This is the best cover for the griddle, and it is much cheaper than the blackstone. ,,, but I discovered this cover and it is great,,,, but they recommend that if you live in a windy area that you add extra weight to the top of it.
The material is very light, so it might not work well in winds over high speeds. The wind is blocked by my patio, so mine is not exposed to it. There is no need to worry about it being too heavy. It is only due to the fact that the predrilled holes for the handle do not line up correctly that I have deducted a star. Despite my efforts, I was able to attach the handle, but it is highly crooked, which upsets.
In this case, I was slightly disappointed with the Initially, I expected it to have a little more weight I have not done a lot -- Although it does seem somewhat sturdy, one of the corners was dented and banged in somewhat. Now, it does seem somewhat durable, but is almost like a tin can. Although the box it arrived in was not damaged, the lid was damaged - not sure when it occurred - It should be done before shipping or during shipping. I'm still keeping it, though it doesn't interfere with using it, since it wouldn't fit on the griddle and I'm just going to use it anyway.
