Questions & Answers

Will this be compatible with a Genesis II LX s 340?

That is correct. It is a grate that sits on top of a grate rather than a grate that is replaced.

Please create a weber genesis 1 e/s-compatible version of this grill grate. The 330-series! I've got a s- 330; It must be 19 in order for us to proceed. 5" x 12. 9" x 0. 7"?

This grate is supposed to fit inside the grate well of all 300, 400, and 600 series grills, but I have a Genesis II S 435. If you have any questions, you should contact Weber customer service.

I'm the proud owner of a Genesis E- Could someone please tell me if this sear grate will fit in my 330 grill?

Hello, this grate is only compatible with Genesis II series vehicles. It won't fit older models like the Genesis E-Type. 330 Thanks.

Is this compatible with a Weber Genesis 6511001 E-Series grill? 310, and if that doesn't work, is there another option?

Yes, it will fit if the grate is the same size as mine. On the fight side, I removed the standard grill and replaced it with this. It's worked out well for me. Steven Reichlen is a stickler for getting the perfect grill marks on his meat, and this grate does it automatically and without effort, and it's a high-quality product that will last for years, just like the rest of the Weber line.

" I've seen and tried a lot of Weber YouTube video recipes for various meats and sides. The steak is the main one I've been working on, and I've tried to get it as close to restaurant quality as possible. Moving steaks, chicken, and even chops to the ten and two o'clock positions to achieve perfect grill marks isn't bad, but when cooking for a large group, I knew there had to be a better way. I enjoy the challenge of perfecting the presentation and flavor. br>br>When I contacted Weber Customer Service, I was told that they did not make one of these grates for Weber Summit Grills. According to the representative, using one of these in a Summit is not recommended. Is it true that I listened to you? So, I'm going to write this review (evil laugh)! It was bought by me. I'm glad I did. br>br>I lay the grate directly on top of the stock grates made of stainless steel. Porcelain enameled cast iron was used to make this one. I use a stainless steel wire brush to clean mine while the grill is still hot. After three months of use, there is no rust and the product is still in excellent condition. TIP: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative" and "paraphrase. " If you enjoy searing meat, then this is the dish for you. The meat may bend depending on how hot the grill gets, and perfect contact with the grate is impossible to achieve without a grill press. It hasn't rusted and is simple to clean, but I recently noticed a crack in it. It has had no effect on its performance, but it is upsetting to witness. I have yet to contact Weber to report the problem. Although I am aware that cast iron can crack if the temperature changes rapidly, I always pre-heat the cast iron. My grill is set to a low heat setting. Prior to cleaning and cooking, place the pan on a medium heat setting. It's made of porcelain-coated cast iron and is compatible with all Genesis II models
4/5

This cast iron sear grate has a porcelain coating and is made for the Genesis II. Grills from the LX 300, 400, and 600 series. br>br>Stay in Shape - Its dimensions are identical to those of the 300/600 series grates. If you have a sear station, you can remove one of the existing grates and replace it with this cast iron grate. This is slightly wider than the current grate for the 400. You still remove one and replace it with this, but it is installed "backwards" and overlaps the center grate. So it works, but it's not as aesthetically pleasing as using it in a 300/600 series grill. You can use this with ANY grill if you just plop it down on top of the existing grates. (However, for a lot less money, you could have purchased one without the Weber name. ) )br>br>Material (br>br>Material (br>br>Material (br>br This is cast iron with a porcelain finish. If you've only ever used steel/stainless steel grates, you'll need to take special care of them or they'll rust. You could follow the instructions in the manual, but I'll admit that's a bit excessive; the important thing to remember is that 1) don't clean it with a metal brush; instead, use a plastic/nylon brush. 2) After it has cooled, clean it. If it helps, consider how you would treat a Le Creuset pot or pan. It's also not bare cast iron, so treating it like Grandma's fry pan isn't appropriate.

Everything is in order
5/5

All you have to do now is read the instruction book. Although I rarely devote time to writing reviews, I do rely on them. So many people were complaining about how it didn't fit the four-burner model properly. Because of this, I almost didn't buy it. Well, I'm glad I didn't trust these reviews and that I can read a manual. Because the grates on the 3/6 and 4 grills are different sizes, the grate will fit perfectly on the 3/6 grill. Weber, on the other hand, is astute enough to recognize this, and the instructions clearly state that a four-burner must be set to either the left or right position, with the top in the proper position. However, if you want to use it in the center grate position, it will not fit a four-burner grill properly. Simply read or look at the illustration in the manual, place it in either outside position, and it works flawlessly with almost no slippage. It does overlap the middle grate by about 2 inches, as others have pointed out, but that is by design, and the grate has bottom tabs to keep it perfectly level. In conclusion, user error is to blame for the grate not fitting a four burner properly. It's perfect for grilling, and I'm glad I have it. You'll be pleased as well.

On the Genesis II, it fits perfectly over the Sear Station
5/5

I used the cast iron Sear Grate to replace one of my 9mm SS grates over the sear station, and it's been working out great so far. The price was fair for what you get, and after allowing it to reach full temperature (normally 10m /-), it produces a perfect cross hatch sear. So far, the steaks and spatchcock chicken we've cooked on it have been delicious. Asparagus, peppers, and other larger vegetables have also done well with it. When using sugar-based sauces, cleaning can be a pain, but if you turn up the heat at the end and make sure the leftovers are completely burned off before letting it cool, a nylon grill brush will easily remove the majority of it. I believe Weber has a winner for the price, as long as it stands the test of time. br>br>*FYI, the manual states that a wire brush should not be used because it may damage the porcelain coating.

If you lay it on top of your grates, it will work on almost any grill
5/5

For my Weber summit 670, I was planning to purchase a combo of the perfect sear grate and gourmet solutions grate (80 bucks and 40 bucks). After seeing this Genesis grate, I figured why would I pay over $100 for a 12 inch circle when I can get this for half that! So I did, and while it isn't long enough to replace a grate on my Summit series, that doesn't mean I can't lay it on top of the middle section. That's precisely what I did, and it worked out well. With just one flip, I can now cook my steaks.
