LIERS! They lied when they said this was a classic kamado joe

I have the classic and saw this and thought, "Well, that looks great. " I got it and it didn't fit and it was warped a lot to the point where when I finally got it in, it literally split into two. I walked away to open my grill lid and it literally split the bottom holder piece into two pieces behind me. I did use a lot of force to get it in, but it shouldn't have split at all if it was new cast iron. I'm calling bs and.

It'll do the job, even if it's not exactly like the original

The ash holes are larger in diameter, which shouldn't be a problem, and the center is flat rather than domed like the original. It is likely to be less expensive to produce as a result of this. In terms of use, I don't believe the difference will make much of a difference.

The original was a thick ceramic piece that crumbled over time; this one is cast iron and should last much longer. Our Big Green Egg is an original and fits perfectly.
