I'm not sure if you want to use this for hiking or camping because of the weight. If the skillet isn't too big, it should be fine. If you need a large, heavy skillet that you won't have to carry around, cast iron is the way to go. This is what I use on my Weber grill, which is a small one.

It's the ideal size for a Weber charcoal grill for a small child. I needed a replacement because I threw ours away with old ash by accident. br>br>Fortunately, this is a great deal and a perfect match! br>br>Please keep in mind that this is the grate that your charcoal sits on if you're getting a replacement grate - It's not the one you use to cook on.
The grille is exactly as described, but it rusted after only a few weeks. The following is taken from the description:
- For durability and longevity, it's forged from heavy-duty plated steel. br>- We live near the coast, and while the sea air can be harsh on metal, this grill rusted (all over) almost immediately. I'm not sure how much longer it will hold together as the rust worsens. Rust never sleeps, but based on the description, it shouldn't get so bad so quickly. br>br>Disappointing.
My Smoky Joe Jr is just over ten years old and gets used at least three times per month, sometimes up to five times per week, and the upper and lower grates are still original. I noticed the charcoal grate had rusted through in a few spots and appeared to be weak and about to crumble the other day, so I ordered this. It's the same size as the one it's replacing, and only time will tell how long it'll last, but I know the Weber 18" kettle grill I got a few years ago, which I use when the Jr isn't big enough and I don't want to use the gas infrared grill, appears to be of similar quality to the Jr. This is in stark contrast to Weber's decision to use low-cost, low-quality parts in their gas grill models. br>Even if it lasts half as long as the original, the cost of replacement will be less than $2 per year. That's fine by me.
Smokey Mountain 5" Weber This is my 14th grate, and I use it as a second grate. Smokey Mountain 5" Weber I criss- The modification, which involves crossing the grated and tying them together with stainless steel wire, works beautifully. As a result, much less charcoal falls through the grate, and I save a lot of charcoal when I run the smoker. I am extremely pleased.
'crossed' grates (for briquette retention), and looked for this item. . . the fifth image, but it doesn't fit my smoker; gave me reason to be concerned br>Because returns are relatively simple, I decided to take a chance. In any case, have you ordered it? IT FIT! br> (As seen in the video)br>Grills are now connected. After that, it's on to the gasket installation. . . "Project Smoker" continues!.
This is the charcoal grate that sits at the bottom of the Weber and holds the charcoal, not the grill top. It is ten inches in length. The 5" size is ideal for the Smokey Joe tabletop grill. The item was delivered on time and in perfect condition. It is well-fitting and functional. I'm at a loss for words. Though it is obvious that the lifespan of these grates is limited. They rust and corrode quickly, particularly if the grill isn't cleaned out on a regular basis. During the winter, they are kept inside. PROS: br>br>

This was purchased to store ceramic briquettes* in my Char- TRU-20602109 Patio Bistro TRU-20602109 Patio Bistro TRU-20602109 Patio Bistro TRU-206 Electric Grill with Infrared Heating. Although the kettle grill works well as an outdoor grill, I miss the flavor of charcoal cooking. So I put it in the bottom of the kettle and added ceramic briquettes on top of it. It's also effective: Fats and oils dripping onto hot briquettes produce a vapor that has a charcoal-like flavor. Without the charcoal, it's like adding flavor to foods. br>* Chef Master 05004CM Self Cleaning Ceramic Gas Grill Briquettes.
The item is an excellent match for Smokey Joe. Nothing is built the same way it used to be, so I gave the product three stars. Weber Grilles were unrivaled just 20 years ago. They've become so cheapened in recent years that if I needed a new grill, I'd shop around and compare brands. However, we were able to avoid purchasing a new grill this summer because of this product. In summary, I recommend this product for the Smokey Joe if you want to make it through another grilling season.
