The original Weber grates deteriorated over the last 5 years until they literally fell apart, but these new stainless grates prevent food from sticking and are easy to clean. Steel or brass brush bristles getting stuck in the old grates and then into the food I was cooking has always been a source of concern for me. Because of the stainless, this is nearly impossible. Shinestar also included two carbon sheets in the package as an added bonus. They came as a complete surprise to me. I used them to grill asparagus last night and was blown away by the grill marks they left on the spears and how simple they made an otherwise difficult task. I've tried using metal trays on top of the grates in the past, but they don't leave nice grill marks and are difficult to clean. Throughout the year, I probably grill at least twice a week, and I would highly recommend this product to any Weber owner.

What you pay for is exactly what you get. If you've ever used genuine stainless steel grates, you'll be let down by these. I seasoned them with vegetable oil before using them for the first time, and they quickly discolored when only oil was applied to them. It wasn't just the oil that was discoloring them; the heat was discoloring them as well. Then I cooked a steak, which was a pain to clean up after. On another grill, I use high-quality stainless, and the difference is night and day. br>br>These are stainless coated, not true stainless, as you can see. They have a hollow/coated feel to them, and the ends are perfectly rounded, as if they were made of dipped material. I knew this was a gamble for the price because raw stainless is expensive, but you get what you pay for, and I've already returned these and will gladly pay 3x the price for the genuine article made in the United States.

I had the original cast iron grates, but there are a lot of stainless steel rods now. Stainless steel rods are very easy to clean and have a nice aesthetic, as I now understand. Iron grates are my personal favorite because they carbonize and transfer that flavor to whatever you're cooking. Our grates rusted, and because they were not newer, there was no way to bring them back. br>br>I'm not sure if I'd buy these again because I believe the stainless steel rods and the cast iron rods aren't a fair comparison. Please keep in mind that I also use a Traeger and prefer cast iron skillets on my stove, so my bias is clear. I believe it is more about your preferred cooking style, which is why I made this recommendation. br>br>I like the sleek design of the stainless steel tubes, and I like how easily they clean up, but I think I'm still on a learning curve when it comes to using them and getting a good sear mark on meats and vegetables. As a result, the lack of a five-star rating is due to the material stylings rather than the workmanship. br>br>If you like this style of replacement, I strongly advise you to order one and try it out because it is a well-made product that I believe is well worth the price. br>br>I'll keep it simple and say that I'm not going to throw them away. In 1997, my wife and I received a Weber Genesis Silver as a wedding present. Three times now, I've rebuilt the internals. It has served me well, and I will not part with it until it literally falls apart! These stainless steel grill grates outperform the original grates by a long shot. This particular set is quite substantial and well-made. You can't go wrong with this deal. This grill's old cast cook chamber will probably last forever, but I don't have a source for grates to keep it going! Please don't be hesitant to purchase these.

These grates are well-made and heavy. This is the type of grate Weber uses in their grills, and it would cost at least twice as much if purchased from them. It appears that the steel is of good quality. I'm holding off on making a final decision until I see how the welds hold up. The only thing that could possibly go wrong with these is that. The shipping was extremely fast, and the packaging was excellent.

These heavy-duty stainless steel cooking grates are a direct replacement for my Weber Spirit e-Grill's original worn-out grates. grill with a temperature of 310°F They appear to be of good quality and are the same size as the original Weber parts.

Almost two years ago, I discovered this silver c Weber in the trash. There isn't a single flaw in it. The porcelain-covered grates began to deteriorate after a period of heavy use. I was on the verge of throwing in the towel when I decided to take a chance and purchase these grates, which have proven to be excellent. I added some paint and grate work, and this thing still has a lot of life left in it! It's a shame that these items are so expensive new that people simply throw them away. It's worth it to replace parts! More meat will be available! In terms of quality, these grates outperform the previous ones!.

grill with a temperature of 310°F Why "almost"? Because they're 1/4" smaller than ideal and can be positioned or pushed in such a way that one corner remains in the air - as a result of which it is insufficiently stable. It would be the best set of grates if it were 1/4" longer, and I would give it a 5* rating.
