Yes, these grates are compatible with Silver 3 burner models from the Genesis Silver series.
I have no idea. It's the right size for my Weber Genesis Silver grill.
Step-by-step instructions are included with the grates on how to prepare them for use. I didn't see her perform the steps because it was a gift for family!

It was too big for the grill. Check the size of your grill's opening! The grates were delivered on time and appeared to be well-finished, but they were too short. 3" = +- As you can see in the photo, these are almost 1/4" too short, causing the grate to drop below the ledge in the middle on both grates. My grill is 23 years old and may have experienced some minor distortion, but if these were the advertised size (17. 75"), they would be perfect. They'd still fit, albeit a little loosely, at 3" These aren't likely to be 17 in number. 3" x 3" x 3" x 3" x 3" x 3" br>I chose not to replace them because I was concerned about the accuracy of their measurements and the possible underlying Chinese quality control issues that had harmed them. br>I'm willing to pay a little more for a custom-made US-made product. MADE set that will fit correctly and has 3/8" bars, just like the newer Webers.
The last two sets I had came from Weber and were porcelain coated steel. They were very expensive, and despite my best efforts, they rusted quickly. Genuine Weber replacement parts have always been of poor quality in my experience. So I decided to go with cast iron and try a new brand. I went through an extensive seasoning process after receiving these grates, and I intend to take good care of them, so I'm hoping they will last a long time. They're a lot hotter, sear a lot better, and seem to cook a lot more evenly than porcelain. They won't stick if you keep them seasoned (oiling after each use), and they'll cook perfectly every time. It takes a little time to keep them seasoned, maybe 2 minutes after each use, but I think it's well worth it. We'll see how long they last, but they appear to be very sturdy, and after installing them in my Weber, it feels like I've got a brand new grill.
br>br>These grates came in a battered box (which is understandable given how heavy they are). Everything was in perfect working order. br>br>At first, I was undecided about these (0. 5 mm) or a slightly more substantial 0. Grates with a thickness of 7 mm. The old- Man, I'm a cheapskate, so I went with the less expensive set to save a few dollars. It paid off for the first time! I haven't been let down in the least. br>br>I started with a magnet test (with a heavy neodymium magnet) and it fell off like it was on a piece of wood. br>br>After that, I installed it in my old Weber Genesis Silver B grill, and it fit perfectly. They turned a lovely blue color after being heated for the first time, and showed no signs of warping, twisting, or bowing. Solid as a rock. Now is the time. br>br> I can say that these are performing admirably after two months of use. There are no signs of rust (despite the fact that I frequently use marinades that are high in salt). They stay flat and straight throughout. A yellow-orange hue has taken the place of the lovely blue. Overall, the color is brownish, but nothing out of the ordinary for a grill grate. br>br>I'll be the first to admit that I don't always follow the routine care guidelines ((pre-hospital care guidelines)). Cooking oiling and scrubbing in a diagonal motion). Despite my laziness, these grates perform admirably and clean up easily (with a stainless steel grill brush). Do they appear "new, out of the box?" No way. Keep in mind that I am a slacker. But. Do they perform with minimal sticking (better than the three sets of seasoned original cast iron grates I went through)? Heck yes! br>br>When I do remember, I will treat them with respect. a burn- brush-off, then a brush-off, then a brush-off, then a brush- They clean up easily and are ready to use again after a good scrubbing and possibly a coat of vegetable oil. I'm at a loss for words. br>br>I'm not sure what else to say. The welds are strong, they fit together perfectly, and they perform better than I expected. br>I would buy these again in a heartbeat and have already recommended them to a number of my friends.
Weber 22-inch kettle grills with steel-rod grates were always my go-to choice. The Genesis Silver B came with grates made of folded sheet metal that were welded together when we bought it in 2005. I'd always preferred a kettle style grill, so when the original grate's welds began to fail, I purchased this Qulimetal rod style grate. The rods are slightly thicker (7mm) than the kettle grill grates and appear to be of excellent quality. I waited a month before reviewing them to make sure they were up to par, which they are. I think these are a lot easier to clean, and the food sears beautifully.
To be honest, I haven't done anything yet. My old Weber gas grill is being looked after by me. It was able to withstand Michigan's harsh winters. The majority of the time, there isn't a cover. I now reside in Tennessee, which receives a great deal of precipitation. I've begun storing it in the garage, but the damage has already been done. The cast iron grates had rusted and were in poor condition. I was looking at new grills last week, estimating that this one would last another 15 years. I couldn't find anything comparable by Weber for less than $500, and the newer ones don't appear to be as well built. Instead, I purchased one of these stainless grates, which turned out to be one of my best purchases of 2021. They fit perfectly, and after seasoning them for a few minutes to burn off any bad stuff, I cooked them on them, and they cooked evenly. My Weber is now as good as new when it comes to cooking. I'm glad I didn't go out and buy a new one. It is strongly advised. These are better than new cast iron gratings in my opinion. They're really good.
Excellent quality, heavy-duty construction, and a fraction of the price of comparable Weber grates. Weber, my 18-year-old son, has never had it easier in his life. The original stamped SS grates finally gave out after I replaced the burner assembly a few years ago. The rest of the grill is still in good condition, which speaks volumes about Weber's craftsmanship. I wish I had purchased these years ago (although I'm not sure they were still available).
