This is a good deal at less than forty dollars. These are made of raw cast steel, similar to a cast iron pan. There will be no slick costing. This is going to need some seasoning. Brush it with cooking oil, toss it on the grill, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, then reapply more oil to the hot grates and cook for a few minutes more. It's not too difficult. Seasoning is required for all cast iron, so keep it simple. In any case, you should clean the grill grates before using it. These are far superior to the rusted-out pressed steel original grates. I'm looking forward to putting meat on it as soon as possible.

These are made of solid cast iron, which heats up quickly and produces excellent grill marks. These are far superior to the porcelain-coated steel I had previously, which rusted rapidly. These should last a long time, in my opinion.

Replacements for the originals that are reasonably priced. These fit my Weber Genesis Silver A exactly as advertised, but they aren't the same as the original Weber product (and are accordingly priced). The surface is a little rougher than the originals, and they're a little lighter gauge. If you're on a budget and don't mind a less-than-perfect grill, I'd recommend them. I now regret not opting for the Weber edition.

These fit perfectly in my gas grill and appear to be quite durable. I haven't tried them without the foil, so I can't comment on how well they clean. I'd make another purchase. Before I realized I was reviewing another product that I didn't receive, I gave it one star. That is something you should ignore.

As a replacement item, they are ideal. They do, however, have the same ceramic coating as the original set. Grates that are not hollow. br>I've used them three times now for cooking and have had no problems.

These grill grates fit perfectly and have a good amount of meat to them. They were simple to clean as well as cook on. I haven't used them enough to know how long they will last, but I am very happy with them at the moment.

However, with such a rough finish, I expect food to stick regardless of what you do. I anticipate that they will be useless.

Genuine Weber replacement parts are bump-free. They have cutouts along the edge that allow them to fit more snugly than these. However, I was unable to locate them, so I had to make due with these. They work, but I have to fiddle with them all the time to keep them from falling onto the flavorizer bars.
