Can you tell me how deep the bottom basket of charcoal is?

The distance between the bottom of the basket and the cooking surface measures just more than 3 inches.

Does this product originate in the United States or was it ?

I use it all the time it is made in the USA and is an excellent grill.

Is the lid secure so that one can carry it with one hand?

There is no such thing. Neither the lid nor its clips are attached.

Are there any owners who have had this grill for a long time? I want to make sure the paint does not come off the outside and the inside. ?

As far as I can tell, the paint is not a problem. Initially, it set my table top on fire when I used it. I had to set it on top of some brick to prevent it from catching fire.

The grill basket is broken and has chips, dent, and dents

My normal policy is not to post reviews without trying the product out first. Unfortunately this one arrived This isn't a huge deal, but when the product is brand new, it should be in pristine shape. This is a very interesting concept, because of course you pay a premium, which is particularly why I'm disappointed in the quality. Please let me know if the company is able to resolve it or I will unfortunately have to return.

You're going to have a lot of trouble assembling I spent 2 hours trying to put it together

Ikea's instructions are impressive when accompanied by pictures (pictures). As can be seen in the images, a screw as shown in the pictured was supposed to hold multiple pieces together, but in fact it would not function. (The other screws/washers have all beenaccounted for, so this HAD to be the problem). The grill has multiple pages that explain how to use it (once it is On the website, there is no help or guidance for additional instructions. Our journey is coming to an end.

The air flow is poor

My only regret with this grill is that I wasted money on it. My interest in it as a portable cooking space was what really grabbed my attention. Some of the sides were dented when I received mine and the rust quickly set in. It was given to me for my birthday way after the return date, which was unfortunate. In terms of the cooking, the air chamber design on the bottom is terrible. It doesn't seem to be possible to get any air to flow through the top and bottom chambers while both are I just lose all of my coal to it. I do not mind if you grill with the lid off, but I usually need to keep the heat in for most of my cooking. Thank you again for the advice, but I wish I would have stuck It would have been better for me if I knew.

We are talking about a lot This grill is not up to my standards

This was my first attempt at putting it together properly and testing it. An insufficient amount of air is flowing. I had to cook hamburgers for too long. It was worse than that since the vents were closed but air still flowed in. There was rain that night, and even with the top vent closed, the car At the time of the test, the charcoal was wet and the water level in the base was about half an inch. After reviewing everything again, I discovered that both vents were shut. You could still see light coming in through the openings where the rain came through when both vents were closed. The cover is not included in the package.

I like it, but there are ways to improve it

As soon as it arrived, it was damaged, and I drove to get it fixed, but as I had to use it the next day, it was a time-consuming process. One of the paint chips is visible. Our camping trip was great as we saved a lot of charcoal and it is nice that the cooler cools down fast so you can easily put it back in your car later. I did not give it 1 star for portability because it was difficult to assemble, and once you do it won't fit in the box (even on the bigger box from Amazon enclosed with the manufacturer box), so I gave it a 1 star. It would be nice if the stand (both bottom and top) folded.

Negative Nit pickers should not be listened to. There is no better grill than this one. Many cheap versions of it have been tested by me. Whenever I travel in my travel trailer, I use this. You can really save charcoal with it because it is so versatile. I recommend you to buy it because you'll be pleased with it.

The unique features of this grill made it the best choice for me. It cooked the steaks to perfection for the first time today after I used it for the first time. My next step was to close the vents and attach the lid. For the next meal, I am going to use charcoal as it cooled off quickly. grill grate could only be adjusted in height, and I wish it had that feature.
