I had to cut away part of the rubber sleeve on this cable in order to extend the length of my Jackery SolarSaga 100 solar panel cable because it was too small and prevented the male counterpart from fully inserting.
Nonetheless, the shroud of the female 8mm receptacle on these cables won't allow you to plug in your Jackery SolarSaga cables. With the help of a Dremel tool, my husband cut away the shroud so that the panels can now plug into In the bag, they don't mate - they just don't. Therefore, if you're unwilling to cut back the plastic that prevents the plug of the Jackery panel from fitting into the socket on the iGreely cable, you will be unable to use this product with your In light of the ease of remedying the issue, and the cables working fine once everything is plugged in, I give this a rating of 4. Jackery customers seem to give this a 1 and most will give that as well Since the stupid thing just plain lacks fit (and thus gives no power at all to the battery), I gave it just one star. Perhaps the cable dimensions have changed as a result of this. These cables are the ends of the Jackery. This suggests that perhaps iGreely used to work with former SolarSaga plugs simply cannot attach to the recessed socket now that they are brand new (April, 2021). Thus, that's all there is to.
It hasn't been used often because the battery bank is well positioned for a typical cable, but I've used it several times in the past when I've moved my fully mounted solar panel to the roof of my van, a time when I needed to move my battery bank. I think it's worth every penny simply because it provides an extra sense of security! My portable solar panel sits outside the van so that I can use it to charge up the batteries when I'm working in the shade, and it's useful when the van is parked but I'm using the solar power to charge everything. Even when I am parked mostly in the shade, I have had success using this when my mounted solar panel is not absorbing quite as much of the sun's rays without.
It is a near perfect 8mm extension cord, it is well made, well packaged, and works perfectly. In addition to my two Bluetti Maxoak solar power stations, I am using it as a remote control. There is some confusion about the plug size that Bluetti recommends, but after some digging I belatedly found out that the plug size is Some people claim that you can't just buy a lens off the shelf, but when I contacted Bluetti, they said any 8 mm lens This one worked as well. Through this extension cord I am able to pull 120 watts of power from my solar panels into my solar power stations.
I rate this product unqualified 5 stars.
Cable seems to be of good quality- It will be necessary to trim back the female end in order for it to work. Powered the Jackery solar sag 100 watt panel but failed to power it. It is possible I was a fluke and I was replaced by Amazon? The following update has been made As well as the original cable, the replacement was.
The review can be read here. We use it with a Rockpals 100w folding solar panel (new version) and Using this cable gives me an additional 20 feet to work with when I'm looking for a specific spot for the sun to shine. Although I did have to use a razor blade to trim down the plastic female end of the connector, I didn't need to do as the other reviews instructed. As soon as I was done, I was able to plug in and charge my Jackery to 67W. With use of the cable, there is no loss of input power. I love it so much!.
Almost perfect. In this case, there was only one drawback the outer insulation on the female end was about 1mm too long, which made it difficult to connect a male end. All that was needed was to trim about one millimeter off with a razor blade.
The cable is well made and is well worth the money. I purchased it to use with the Jackery 500.
