The two positives are connected to the connectors, and there is a positive connector out on the connector. Both the positive and negative aspects of the situation remain constant.
These have a maximum current rating of 30 amps. Why would you choose 45 amps over a higher voltage (series/parallel combination)? 45A will necessitate the use of 4/0 or larger wire from your array. If you use less than that for a run of 8 feet or so, the voltage drop will be insane. Re- Make your design more engineering.
Yes, depending on your setup, you can use a combiner box or a breaker box.

They do, however, appear to be quite appealing. LINKPAL, DON'T FAIL ME! I have high expectations for how they'll perform. If you're thinking about it, give them a shot; I'm confident you'll be pleased. If I remember, I'll let you all know how they're doing!.
These branch connectors make it simple for me to set up a Series/Parallel setup and get the most out of my VE 150/45 controller. They are extremely well-made and make setup a breeze. These are an important part of my solar system because they cut down on the amount of cabling that is required. Less cabling equals less loss and greater efficiency. br>br> I would strongly advise anyone in need of brand connectors to purchase these. For five stars, you get top quality and value.
I wanted to add two more panels to my system in parallel, so I needed more connectors. These are identical to the ones I currently have, and they will come in handy when I order my extra panels.
I appreciate how simple it is to buckle and unbuckle without the use of "special" tools. I bought the first set, put it to good use for a few months, and thought it was a success. I also purchased a second set, which broke on the first day of use. I'm guessing the plastic part isn't very strong (see photos). I'm not sure if it was already cracked when I got it, but it's way too early for it to be broken. I suppose I could re-glue it, but since it's new, I returned it and am awaiting a replacement. br>br>I believe it is better to be stronger because it will be used outside in direct sunlight and will be exposed to wind and water. Perhaps you get what you pay for. br>br>.
These are necessary if you want to connect two solar panels in series. br>br>I put these on my solar array in the mountains a few years ago, and they're still going strong, showing no signs of wear from the sun, rain, ice, or snow.
My only "non-issue" is that the connectors are a little larger than I'd like. Having said that, I prefer small accessories. effective It is very easy to gain weight.
I needed another set of these connectors for my 300 watt parallel system, and these fit perfectly. They are nice and tight, and there are no issues.
They appear to be fairly light, but they were available with overnight shipping and are capable of handling the full amperage without overheating. That'll have to suffice.
