The mount was easy to install. This is how I used them for solar wires on a van. Exactly what I needed. The tape is already attached, and it is waterproof and strong, so you don't need the screws. (you need to clean the surface well first)
The only downside is that you cannot run wires through connectors (unless you put a really small gauge on it). As a result of the tight fit, the product is It's nothing but a simple reminder that will make your life much easier. The gold colored one was not up to my taste, so I returned it. The spray paint gave good adhesion to it, and it now matches the van's white paint.
In the case of the grommet bend, the farther I was from the grommet, the less room I had for housing clearance to cable diameter.
Those cables were installed onto the top of my Ram Promaster so that I could take advantage of the solar panel. I put it on easily and it was secure. It seems entirely waterproof on its own after two weeks.
