Because it's all plastic, it shouldn't cause any problems in a marine environment, even if it's salt water. I didn't see any options for different gland sizes, but it seemed to make good use of the extra space. It worked well with ten wires in my case.
All Cable Types 2mm2 to 6mm2 are compatible with this solar cable entry box.
That is something I don't possess.

So this is designed for an RV roof, but I used it to run my shed's solar panel wires through the roof without causing leaks or making it look shoddy. Because Fishtank RTV is less expensive than RV roof sealant, I sealed it completely. So far, there have been no leaks despite two good rainstorms. I'll keep an eye on it for a while, but I don't think there will be any issues.
Material and construction are both of a high quality. Included are screws that are suitable for use in wood but are likely too thin or short for use on RV roofs. It's simple to put together and the wires are tightened nicely. br>br>According to the specifications, this unit can hold up to ten people. The typical solar jacket is much thicker than standard AWG cabling, and the wire is 14AWG. I used it with 12Ga solar wiring and left plenty of room before tightening it down. Most solar 10Ga, I believe, will fit without modification.
It is extremely simple to operate. Instead of using the provided screws to mount vertically, I use a contractor's grade adhesive, which I am using for the second time. After three years and 40K miles of travel, the first one was installed on the roof of my camper van and is still watertight.
How can I drill a hole in my perfectly good metal trailer roof when I spend my days patching holes and leaks? I did, after all. to put the solar panels on my trailer Given that I was looking for the best alternative - I chose to use this Gland, as well as a lot of caulk and FlexSeal tape. So far, there have been no leaks, but the rainy season has yet to arrive. I expect the Gland to outlast my trailer because it is made of high-quality plastic.
Because the plastic isn't very flexible, it's best to use it on flat surfaces. I had to install it on a slightly curved surface and was successful, but I used a heat gun to ensure that I did not break the plastic when I screwed it down. br>Because of the large opening, it's simple to place over the hole and allow wires to pass through without interference.
It accomplishes the task at hand. Waterproof as long as the wires are the proper gauge and butyl tape is used under the surface that connects to the vehicle's exterior.
I had no idea the item was even available. I needed to run a wire through the roof. br>br> This is something I'm used to doing; However, I've never had to do this for a coax wire before. br>br>An Amazon search revealed this item: It was simply a matter of locating the color I desired. br>br>I wish I had bought one with three inlets rather than two. But, when I get to that point, it'll be my fault; Because the price is so low, I'll just order another one.
It was very simple to set up. It's convenient to have a feature that prevents the inner nuts from turning. The roof's color blends in with the color of the walls. The gland nuts did a great job of sealing the cables. The 3mm thick flange is a little too flexible; it bows slightly when the screws are tightened, causing the seal tape to not be squeezed evenly. I would prefer that the flange be stiffer and that there be four rather than three screw holes. This is a minor complaint; if I were to install another solar system, I would use this component again. It's far superior to the one that came with my solar system.
