There is no difference between them that I am aware of
In short, yes. Once you have read the instructions, make sure you understand them To replicate the existing zone wire connections on the new Rain Bird WiFi sprinkler, snap pictures of the existing wire connections. You only need 10 minutes to do it!
/1) If your mobile device password (in the Rainbird app) is not the same as your Rainbird cloud server password, you will not be able to connect. Open the front cover of the Rainbird Controller and press the wifi reset button (lower left). You should be able to see the wifi blinking green again once you've done that. 3) If that does not restore operation, I recommend rebooting your house's wifi router (unplug for 10 seconds). ** 4) If none of that works, check what channel your house wifi is operating. There can be a lot of congestion on a channel, which interferes with RainBird wifi's communication with your home wifi network. A total of 11 channels are available on channel *br>For some reason, if I am out in the back yard far from the controller box, I have some difficulties establishing a connection. When I'm having trouble with my phone, I sometimes just close all apps. Although it can be finicky to toggle a zone on and off without opening a valve manually, it is nice to have the option of using it.
Power for the controller comes from a 24vac source. With the 120 volt to 24 volt power plug it comes with, there is no need to order the stepdown for 220 volts to 24 volts

My wife and I are 71 years old! This control is substandard junk! Despite its high resolution, the display lacks sufficient contrast to make it It is unlikely that the push buttons will make contact reliably, and programming is difficult at best. Despite their best efforts, the tech support did not pay attention to their customer, telling me what I should do instead. It is true that the Customer Service Rep actually hung up on a customer! I was unable to be satisfied with the customer service experience I had with Shoddy Goods. A lack of proper cleaning of the switch contacts on the inside of the face plate led to buttons being unable to be pressed reliably.
Controlling the irrigation system was a breeze thanks to the accompanying app. Nevertheless, I began receiving disconnect notifications by the second day, and within less than 60 days, the LNK Wifi module had stopped working. This product received the second star because it still works with the irrigation timer. I have only encountered difficulties with the wifi connection, which really undermines the purpose of purchasing a wifi.
The feature is useful. The following is noteworthy Zone photos are stored on the phone rather than on the control panel. In order to determine if your controller and smartphone are successfully connected, you need to watch the led lights of the wifi plugin. There is no limit to the number of smartphones you can use as remote controls. The device I owned was a Samsung note 8, and the iPhone I had was an As an alternative to using the controller front panel, (Xs)
I found it easier to program each zone via the phone rather than the With this rainbird wifi controller, an earlier model rainbird controller with a detachable wireless remote made connections difficult to maintain. ST8 is so much better than ST7. Sitting on the back porch, I can get the grandkids soaked as they play.
Having recently inherited an old nonworking computer, I decided to replace it In exchange for a Wi-Fi unit, I was able to control it After researching several units, I chose this one from Rain Bird because it had exactly what I was looking for. During my maintenance, I needed only to figure out when each zone would water, how long each zone should last, and when each zone should be watered. My iPhone was downloaded to the app and set up on the WiFi connection. With my phone I test each zone to make sure it is My next morning, I checked the unit to ensure it was working at 6 am. Furthermore, I setup a notification system so I will know when watering is complete. It would be my pleasure to recommend this unit to others.
Making life easier has been made possible by this. As an example A few minutes before I went to sleep, I was lying in bed. The rain started pouring down after a boom of thunder.
If not for the terrible tech support, I would have given it 5 stars. The only day they are available is during the week. It will mostly be installed over the weekend, as I will be doing. It turns out I had a problem with WiFi. I called Monday, but was told I needed to go to the controller myself. The only use of it was that I was getting home later than they closed. My order had to be returned, just to get the WiFi part correct. I was surprised to have to return it for a small part, but Amazon is great when it comes to I own two of these, one in each of my houses. Both of them use the same piece of software.
I don't even think the product worked once had a strong signal and was still doing the same things so I have them send me a new one. If it works I'm expecting it to do the same thing so we can be don with rain bird tech.
A weather monitor on the laptop reports that the sun is out and it's hailing outside. The 'Seasonal Adjustment' setting does not seem to have any effect, and the app loads slowly because it takes too long to discover and sync.
