Questions & Answers

Is there a 30-second irrigation timer for the home?

By choosing the budget option, this timer will water for 30 seconds.

Is the wiring the same as it was on my old water master sprinkler system, which connected to my three rain bird valves? thanks?

I had four rain bird sprinklers connected to a water master. I disconnected from the water master system and connected to my orbit 4 station immediately. It's all pre-programmed and there's not even a smidgeon of a problem. I only water on even days, not on December 31st or January 1st. Good luck

There are two water stations on my property. (Each station has two wires.) )From each, one wire is connected to the first. ?

Each station has one wire, with the common wire connected to the common terminal.

Is the power source a 110 plug or does it connect in some other way?

It is equipped with a 110 volt outlet. However, I disconnected it and connected it to an existing outlet. The company was fine with it. The warranty was not void as a result of this. and it's all good.

For the money, this is a fantastic deal

br>br>There is one peculiarity about this clock, noted by several other reviewers as a problem which, apparently, they did not fully understand: these other reviewers say these units do not keep good time, losing minutes over the course of j. I bought the 12 station unit, replacing an old unit that cost close to $1000, and this unit, at around $70, does essentially everything the old clock did at a fraction of the cost. One reviewer even returned a clock for this reason, only to find that the replacement was just as bad at keeping time. This was my initial thought as well, until I looked into it further and performed some tests on my unit. br>br>In fact, the clock, at least on my unit, keeps excellent time. The clock resets to the current time, with the seconds rounded to zero, when you turn the programming wheel through the "Set Time" setting, which you can do to get to any of the other setting positions. So, if you're setting other things in the clock and you turn the programming wheel counterclockwise (from the Auto position, where it probably lives most of the time, to the Set Time position) to get to what you want, you're effectively setting the clock back 0 - When the unit is new and you're programming and reprogramming it frequently, this can quickly give the impression that it's losing time. To avoid this problem, simply spin the programming wheel in the direction you want to avoid going through the Set Time position, presumably clockwise from the Auto position to the setting you want, and then in the opposite direction to get back to Auto when you're finished. br>br>Now, I wouldn't argue that the clock shouldn't be changed by simply passing through the Set Time position without pressing Enter, so this is a flaw in the system's logic, but it's simple enough to avoid the appearance of bad timekeeping if you understand this peculiarity.

It appears to be in good condition, and it is not harmful to the environment

They lost stars due to the lack of a user-friendly interface and the difficulty of installing it. Important Remark: The instruction manual that comes with the unit is not THE instruction manual. The entire manual is accessible via the internet. e. The number indicator for one of four start times per day is used when setting the start time. It's not the station number that's the problem. If a duration is set, all stations will run in order at every start time. This information can be found in the full manual, not the one that came with the unit. As a result, when it ran 16 times in one day on one program, I almost threw it away! The fine print, on the other hand, prompted me to continue- To make the thing work, you'll need to use the command line. This is a non-intuitive device, according to the comments on the orbit website! End of important comment. br>So far, everything appears to be in order; programming should be simple enough, though you should keep the manual. Unless you've already owned one of these, the operations are a bit confusing. There are two labels on some buttons (enter/manual). To get to the mode you want (e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e Individual water stations that are operated manually. ) However, if you just try them all, you'll eventually find what you're looking for. I docked a star for the lack of creativity. interface that is simple to use This is a controller that can be used outside. As a result, the controller has fewer openings. That's excellent news. Installing it, on the other hand, is a pain. I'm an adult now. I cursed as I tried to get my adult fingers into the sideways crook to access the common. They lost another star as a result of that. The indoor Rainbird is easier to set up, but it's still indoors, which is where this Orbit should be anyway. This Orbit cannot be left outside in the sun or rain. So, aside from the fact that it's a pain to set up, what's so outdoors about it? It does the job in any case.

It's simple to set up and use

Three individuals who are self-sufficient All that is required to install this is tapping screws (provided with a template for spacing) and plugging in your standard 24v sprinkler valve wires. I'd never worked with sprinklers before, but it only took me 10 minutes to replace my old broken timer with this one and program two staggered watering times per channel, across two channels. If the power goes out, the settings are saved using the battery backup. To keep the children out, the door is secured with a lock. Supports certain day-to-day activities. watering once a week, at a set interval day watering, and it comes with three separate programs that you can run separately or all at once (for seasons or to get multiple short waterings per day). That's useful because our front lawn is on a slope, and watering it for an extended period of time just causes it to run off onto the sidewalk. This way, I can water for two minutes at a time, allowing the water to soak in between.

Also, you're attractive! br>br>This is the third of these that I've bought. br>In the beginning, I purchased 7 - 8 (? ) for our garden in San Diego a few years ago. br>Without a hitch, I ran three stations. br>Moved to New York City and brought everything with me. That individual is currently engaged in the terrace garden. The other two are employed in a greenhouse and an open field, respectively. br>br>Mounted to a wall to keep out the rain, snow, and other elements, I expect these units to last for years. If you've read any of my reviews, you'll notice that I'm a hard act to follow. br>br>The reason for this is that I value my money and time, and I believe that everyone should. br>This is a high-quality product. br>And, in case you're wondering, no, I did not receive a "freebie" or any other form of compensation in exchange for writing this review.
