There are two parts: a flat gateway and a box through which the water flows. You only need one gateway even if you have multiple units. It must be connected to your router via Ethernet cable. After that, get the app on your phone and install it. Place the batteries in each box, scan the QR code with the app, wait for it to recognize it, and then name it. Then connect it to the spigot on your outside faucet. , and then connect the hose to it. br>br>I have two timers that I use to water raised beds on both sides of my patio at different times. You can add as many watering periods as you want to each timer (up to 100, but who needs more than that?). Having to go back and forth to the spigots to turn them on and off is a big help for me because I have limited mobility, and these were well worth the money.

My wife and I have lived in our home for about 5 years. Our backyard was beautiful when we bought our house because the previous owners spent a couple of hours each day working in it. An in- There's a groundwater feature, a lot of rare or exotic plants, and some really nice finishing touches. My wife and I, on the other hand, both work full-time and do not enjoy gardening or caring for other people's property. Our backyard became a literal jungle over time, thanks to our neighbor's oak tree, which rains acorns every fall. br>br>This year, we finally hired a landscaper to remove the water feature (we had a dog who liked to jump in it when it froze over in the winter, and we now have a toddler, so it was a safety issue, not to mention a mosquito attraction) and redo our backyard so it was simple and low-maintenance. The landscapers suggested that we water our lawn once a day for about ten minutes. 15 minutes to ensure that all of the new plants have a strong root system. We're terrible at remembering things like that, so I looked up how to set up an automatic sprinkler. br>br>We discovered a few options that would work with our home automation system, but to be honest, I wasn't too concerned. I kept seeing LinkTap get positive feedback. And, despite the fact that it was an expensive purchase for a single sprinkler in a small backyard, I went ahead and bought it. br>br>Gone are the days when we forget to water the lawn, get soaked by our misbehaving sprayer, or water the lawn unnecessarily when it's supposed to rain later that day. LinkTap has proven to be a fantastic tool. It's simple and effective. Well. If you're clever, you'll be able to solve it. Getting the hub and the water attachment to work together was a breeze. Connecting it to the outside water source - Furthermore, it is relatively simple. The app, on the other hand. The app is in desperate need of a makeover. It works, but the details of what's going on aren't entirely clear. There's no way to say "please stop watering right now" without deleting your entire schedule. There are icons that represent functions that are illogical or do not make sense. It's also a pain to set up schedules. The app works (which is more than I can say for some home automation products), but the user interface is frustrating. I would delete the app entirely if it had Hubitat integration, but it unfortunately does not. br>br>Honestly, if the app was even half-decent, I'd give it five stars right away. However, it is in desperate need of improvement. Aside from that, the product is solid and functions as expected.

They're simple to set up, and then having the ability to 1) control watering from your smartphone, 2) automate ideal watering schedules, and 3) track watering history to ensure your lawn and garden are healthy is fantastic. With a few clicks, you can automatically skip waterings if it's raining too much, or manually give an extra watering if you're having a dry spell. It saves so much time and effort that it is well worth the investment, and the products are of excellent quality. br>br>In addition, the customer service is excellent. They sent me a replacement for an item that was no longer available. Free replacement of a warranty unit that had stopped working. When the unit began to work again, I informed them, and they graciously agreed to let me keep it. I have four of these spread across two properties, and I'll be using them for any future setups.

I became extremely frustrated with my Orbit BHyve sprinkler timer, which would no longer connect properly, communicate with the app, or vice versa, on top of the extremely inconvenient rain delay feature, which irritated me on a regular basis. br>br>After doing some research both here and on the App Store, I came to the conclusion that Link Tap was definitely worth a shot. I'll be honest, I wasn't hopeful, but they persuaded me otherwise. To begin, let me assure you that I am 73 years old and have reached my technological limit. I'm fine and can follow directions, but if I have to figure things out on my own, I'm lost. The Link Tap instructions are simple and straightforward. I was able to set everything up with our WiFi and program the app in a surprisingly short amount of time; there was only one hiccup, which was due to my error (I copied the wrong number), and then I was good to go. br>br>You have an almost limitless number of options for making your timer work exactly how you want it to, including programming the rain delay feature. I live in Florida, so believe me when I say that this is a lengthy process. I'm still tweaking it, which is a good thing because it means I have the ability to do so. The data is perfectly synced across all of my devices (phone, iPad, and laptop), allowing me to access it from anywhere. br>br>The company contacted me to ensure that everything was running smoothly, and I was assured that if there were any issues, they would be there to assist me. Given that Orbit has abandoned its BHyve customers and appears to be permanently unavailable, this means a lot.

I recommend this I only docked a star because the app's interface is cluttered, and I can see a lot of people my age getting frustrated with it. All of the options left my eyes wide-eyed with befuddlement.
