The timer's dial ranges from 0 to 60 minutes. Yes, you could set it to less than 15 minutes. But I haven't tried it yet. The money spent on this timer was well spent.
I'm not sure it'll work out the way you want it to. You can set it for one period of time, but you'll have to change it later. It is not possible to set intermittent timing.
I'm not aware of anything like that. A garden hose, on the other hand, will deliver about 8 gallons per minute, or 480 gallons per hour at normal flow. In the garden, that is a lot of water. I find the product to be of good use to me.
They're made of plastic and filled with water, and if left to freeze, they'll easily break. For the winter, remove the plants and put them away.

It stops clicking and never shuts off the water, and it won't start clicking again until you set it past 1 hour. It serves no purpose! After giving it a one-star rating because it wouldn't turn off, I decided to read other reviews to see if anyone else had experienced the same issue. A four-star review at the top of the page stated that this device should be set like an old-fashioned kitchen timer: Turn the dial all the way to the desired setting, then back down to it. It worked, thankfully. (Excuse me, but why didn't the manufacturer state this?.
I really wanted this to work out. To make sure it worked, I tried it out at home. I set the sprinkler and went to work because it appeared to work as advertised. When I returned home, it was still running. That water bill is something I'm looking forward to seeing. So, while I was at home, I gave it another shot. It worked perfectly; I set it to run for 30 minutes while I went shopping, and it was still running when I returned 90 minutes later. It's set to 30 minutes every time. I purchased two of these and experienced the same results from both.
Although it slightly reduces flow, it is extremely long-lasting, dependable, and convenient. br>br>As a result of numerous inquiries, I took the following measurements: My hose output was lowered by roughly 7% as a result of this. After 10 minutes of running the hose through a water meter, I got a reading of 71. 5 gallons total This is why I set the timer- 10 minutes later, I checked the line between the hose and the meter, and it read 66. 5 decrease (so a 7% reduction). Given the unscientific method used and the low-cost technology used to measure, I would almost call this negligible, but I believe it has some negative impact, even if it is minor. br>br>I needed a low-cost way to turn off the water when I needed to refill our pool. I can "set it and forget it" with this device. " I can go about my business or travel knowing that the water will be turned off. It's long-lasting, simple to operate, and dependable. br>br> It doesn't have any electronics, and it appears to be waterproof, as my wife left it in the pool for a week and it still works.
One of the seven of these that I bought burst open while I was out of town and flooded the yard, obviously costing money for water as well. I docked two stars because one of the seven of these that I bought burst open while I was out of town and flooded the yard. I haven't had any problems with the others, but I'm worried that this will happen again. The timer, on the other hand, functions flawlessly. The flow rate does not appear to be affected significantly. It's very easy to set up. I'm hoping it was a bad batch. Let's see how things go.
I have two of these and they each take 15 minutes to run. They never turn off even when I set them to 15 minutes. I need to turn them all the way up to maximum, then down to 15 minutes. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> The project lasted 16 months and ran once a week.
Instead of installing a sprinkler system to save watering time, this is a quick and easy way to reduce your overall watering time. br>• and, while it isn't a sprinkler system, it isn't as intrusive or expensive, and it saves you time and money! By simply rotating it to the desired watering duration, it effectively functions as a water on/off valve. There are a lot of watering timers on the market, but this one is mechanical, which keeps it simple and reduces the chances of it failing. in addition, at $8 • It is primarily plastic, yet quite robust, thick plastic parts. br>• It is an incredible price to save yourself some labor and time! As a result, it ought to last a long time. in addition to drip On both the female and male ends, there is no charge for sealing. br>However, most plastics are destroyed by the sun. Keep it covered or shaded if at all possible to prevent the sun from speeding up the evaporation of plasticizers and causing cracking and failure. We tuck it under a juniper for shade when it's not in use, which should keep it from cracking. For years, it has been free. If it's possible for your setup, you could do something similar or cover it with a small piece of easy-to-remove material. on/easy- off, sun- fabric that prevents movement br>• Take note that the female end of this timer has a filter to keep debris from entering the mechanism from your water system. This will need to be cleaned on a regular basis, so plan on doing that and removing the timer female on a regular basis. the filter must be cleaned at the end If you notice a drop in pressure from the timer, it's most likely due to debris caught in the female end's filter. (See below for a photo of the filter. ) )br>• Finally, on the subject of pressure, we found no reduction in our water pressure in the hose exiting this timer valve, which was unexpected but welcome, as we had expected the filter to reduce the pressure a little. It works exactly like a completely open, unrestricted on/off valve. with the added benefit of shutting down automatically after the time period you specify. a fantastic product!br>We bought two (2) of these timers, and they're both working perfectly, saving us time and effort in the watering process.
. Last but not least, my wife, who isn't a big fan of watering, had been insisting on it every day and has now completely forgotten about our need for a sprinkler system! )br>br>Thank you for your help, we are both very happy.
We purchased three of these to ensure that we did not leave the soaker hose on for too long, as water is expensive in our neighborhood. 1 stopped working after about ten uses over a month, which was a little too long to return to Amazon. I've been waiting for over 30 minutes for Orbit customer service. I've been using these for years, and they'll eventually wear out. They will, however, last at least two seasons, in my opinion. If the company replaces it, I will update my review. However, in the time I have available, I doubt they will pick up the phone.
I bought two of these, one for the back faucet and the other for the front. On the initial test run, they both performed admirably. At 6 p. m. on the first night I went inside at 00 PM, set both of them to 30 minutes, and fell asleep without checking them. When I awoke the next morning, one of them had been left on all night. I had a lake in my backyard. br>br>I just ordered another one because it was only $8. That one works fine. br>br>If both of them had worked right away, it would have gotten five stars.
