I have never found hose washers that are better than these. There is only one problem some of my hoses are so thick that it is difficult or impossible to engage the threads. The washers that come with these washers won't work with about a third of the hoses on my farm, and so I must locate a different one. Hoses from the big boxes are usually cheaper, and these are the ones that cause problems There seems to be a difference in thread depth between lower quality and higher quality female ends of hoses.
