Questions & Answers

I'm curious about this tree's cold hardiness. ?

Zones 5 and up are suitable for the Chicago Hardy Fig. As a result, the vast majority of the United States!

When do you think they'll start putting out fruit? Is the 3 gallon going to produce sooner than the 5 gallon? Finally, how old are the fig trees in the 1 and 3 gallon sizes?

I'm aware that it takes several years for it to bear fruit. Last year, we had a terrible hurricane in NW Florida on the Gulf of Mexico, and our poor fig tree, Fiona, lost all of her leaves. We assumed she was no longer alive. But, lo and behold, leaves sprouted from her this spring, and she is flourishing, so we are very pleased with the product's quality; however, I am unable to respond to your other questions.

Can I plant in direct sunlight if I didn't receive a care guide?

I'm not sure, but she appears to be shaded in our yard.

Is it safe to leave this outside in Zone 5b during the winter, or should it be moved to the basement?

I live on the coast of New Jersey, so I keep my plants in a pot outside. It has performed admirably and yields figs.

Mama is in a good mood today
5/5

This is something I purchased. For Mother's Day, I had it mailed to my mother. I was relieved to learn that she received it two days before Mother's Day, as the scheduled delivery date had been pushed back two days. I was ecstatic with the shipping. My mother, on the other hand, is ecstatic. I like the size. tree's well-being As a result, I give it five stars.

Amazing! I was hesitant to buy a live plant online when I ordered this fig tree for my son, and I was even more conflicted after reading the reviews
5/5

However, I took the risk and am so glad I did because the tree arrived yesterday in perfect condition. It appears to have been purchased locally, as it has excellent growth, strong branches, and is a well-balanced small tree. I know a couple of people didn't seem to have much luck, but the tree I got is fantastic. It's also beneficial to understand the Chicago Hardy fig tree's culture. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fig tree, and I am confident that my son will appreciate it. What a fantastic purchase!.

Hardy, easy, and quick-growing plants are my favorites
5/5

I was blown away by this plant, which arrived in the dead of winter and looked fantastic. We took a three-week vacation after that, and when we returned, the plant was severely wilted (completely our fault). When it was given regular water, however, it not only recovered but also began to grow rapidly. br>It's been almost a year since we've had it. It's been 5 years and it's still going strong despite the fact that it's been exposed Light, overwatering, and shifting positions are all factors to consider. It has a major growth spurt whenever we give it more sun (and, for the record, we don't get much sun). br>I've bought plants in stores, online, and from street vendors before, but this is by far the best and toughest plant I've ever had! It was well worth the investment!.

Exceeded my expectations in every way
5/5

This was a gift, and it was my first time purchasing live plants on Amazon. As a result, I was extremely apprehensive about making the purchase. br> br>I didn't have to be because my friend got a plant that exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and size, and I regretted not ordering one for myself.

The Chicago Fig is a lovely, healthy tree
5/5

This fig tree arrived in excellent condition and is quite lovely! I have 36 fruit trees in my yard, including apples, peaches, pears, plums, Pawpaws, and lemons, and this is by far the best-looking and healthy tree I've planted. This tree from Perfect Plants was ideal because it was healthy, growing well, and bearing fruit. It wasn't particularly large, but it is healthy and has fared well during this hot, dry summer, which has seen no rain and temperatures exceeding 100 degrees on several occasions. I water it at least once a day, but on a newly planted tree, everyone should. Perfect Plants is a company I'd gladly buy from again.

Arrived in good health and with a full stomach
5/5

This is a lovely plant. br>This is my first Chicago fig plant, and it was very full and green when it arrived. I used to have two Brown Turkish fig plants, and I know how dangerous fig plants can be in Massachusetts. Once they've gone dormant, I've found that putting them in a garage that's just warm enough to keep them from freezing is the best option. It will bounce back in the spring if you give it about a cup of water every three weeks. It's amazing how the plant can appear to be completely dead in the winter and then spring back to life; don't be fooled by its appearance. I'm hoping to get my first figs by the end of the year or early next summer.

This plant is fantastic! Two months later, figs! The plant was delivered in good health
5/5

I wasn't expecting much from it this year, figuring it would be next year before it fruited, but it already has 6 figs and more on the way! (It's too cold here to plant it, so it'll be indoors in the winter and outside in the spring once temperatures are consistently above freezing) I wasn't expecting much from it this year, figuring it would be next year before it fruited, but it already has 6 figs and more on the way! We'll see if they ripen before the winter dormancy sets in, but so far, they've surpassed all of my expectations.
